The scariest part of this book was the egregious amount of times King decided to write straight up child porn. This book wouldn't be half as bad if King had had an editor. “I believe the road to hell is paved with adverbs” headass. Why don't you apply the same logic to your adjectives. Why don't you apply the same logic to your thousands and thousands of pages. It's a shame that this story had to be written by Stephen King, of all authors. I think the average student in a high school English class could have written this book in far fewer pages. King's writing isn't all too bad, when there aren't any children, people of color, women, girls, children, animals, or CHILDREN involved.
i liked it well enough, but i'm really not the target audience. the adults are comically stupid
the lore and characters were good. i'll forgive the writing for being lame in the YA kind of way at times
boring asf, mc was lame, nobody was likeable or interesting, bro just bummed around for all 44 pages i read
- this guy does NOT like women
- liked i have no mouth and world of myth
- big sam was lame
- did not pay attention to eyes of dust
i couldn't get into it at first, but i ended up enjoying the book
"I loved you. I dreamed about you. I talked to you for hours in my sleep... and every time I run into you on the street or at the post office... I want to wring your neck." incredible. terrible. thank you, lorde
i don't even remember finishing this book. but if i didn't mark it as dnf, surely i finished it. i hated the YA-ness of the writing. i remember that much
not bad, but most of the stories sounded the same. all of them name dropping AVEN made the whole thing sound like an elaborate advertisement.
i appreciated the one with the person who got in a relationship only after knowing them for like 3 years. i get it
