Loved it!
Listen, I've been slowly working my way through all of Ruby Dixon's books and I've loved each and every one so far. This one is no exception! Our hero is a big sweetheart with a bad reputation and Mina is strong willed and fierce. I absolutely loved them together! I now am shuffling my TBR to fit in the Corsairs. I'm excited to read more in this universe.
I just love these stories!
I figured it was impossible for me to like Victor as much as I like Mycrul and now I think I like him more! I really enjoyed Bee and I just adored how tender Victor was with her. I know there can be some dark themes in Ruby's books but I feel like those moments aren't overindulgent and they serve a purpose in the story. For me, the darkness actually makes the story richer and the HEA feel even more special. I so enjoyed this one!
So much fun!
I hand a lot of fun with this first book! It's spooky season and I was looking for some new paranormal romance. This first book is a slow burn but I loved getting to know Savannah and Jaxson. I can't wait to read the next one!
I couldn't put it down!
I'm loving this series so much! It's exactly what I was looking for right now. I love how strong Savannah is and I can't get enough of Jaxson as a dominating Alpha. The burn between them is still slow but super steamy. Admittedly, I wanted more but I'll probably spontaneously combust when I read the next book. The action sequences have some really interesting creative ideas that I didn't see coming. I love mythology so it's been a lot of fun to see mythological creatures pop up here and there. I can't wait for the next one!
I liked the first book but was a little lukewarm on it because I had hard time getting over all of the bullying. However, I'm thrilled to say that I absolutely loved this one! Things are getting more steamy and even more dangerous. So excited to see what happens next!
Super dark but so enjoyable! 5 stars!
I didn't expect to enjoy this so much! I'm not usually into MC romances or mafia/crime lord types of stories, but I got so invested in Lips and her family. I'll admit I hated nearly everyone for all the bullying Lips endured in the first book, but most of them become family in a way that makes it easier to forgive them.
Ash, Blaise, and Harley become prime book boyfriend material. I only wanted more of them, and we got a lot! Yes, I'm an addict, and I'd like all three of them too, please!
There are some great twists I didn't see coming throughout this series. It gets progressively darker as the books go on, but it also ramps up the steam. I can't wait to see what happens with Avery, and I'm seriously hoping we get to spend some time with the new characters we meet at the end of the series.
I'm so happy to have more to read before I'm done with Mounts Bay!
Loved it!
Penny Reid is freaking amazing at cozy slow-burn romance! I always love a story about a girl getting to have her high school crush become a reality, and Penny didn't let me down! Rex and Abby's fake turned real romance is swoon-worthy ❤️
So freaking happy!
I truly love Ruby's books and this one is now at the top of my favorites. I had been eagerly anticipating Kassam's story and it absolutely did not disappoint. I have savored it over a few weeks, trying to pace myself when I really just wanted to inhale it!
So many things I enjoy in this book: bargaining with the fates, a fortune teller with a warning, a sexy God of a hero landing on earth, the ensuing adventure in another world. Just everything in this ticked my happy boxes. And Kassam and Carly together hit me so hard in the feels that it made me teary at times. I know it will probably be a while before we have another Aspect & Anchor book but they are so worth the wait. I look forward to getting to visit this world again!
I love Rowan's wolves!
I so enjoyed this book! I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next one in March! It picks up right where the last book left off, so I did have to do a re-read of the first book to get myself back in the story. I fell for Lucas all over again! I loved how Rowan's relationship with her bonds progresses in this book. Rowan continues to grow into her powers, which are pretty awesome btw, and there are some interesting consequences. New and old villains abound, but this story has a lot of heart.
Dark but so amazingly good!
Okay, I was intrigued by this whole idea. I've been blown away by Jade West's stories before, and I knew this would probably be intense. I have to say that it was absolutely everything I wanted it to be! I love the way Abigail and Leo fit together. This was a great read that I had a really hard time putting down.
First, I have to say that I have LOVED the Dirty and Players series overall. Unfortunately, this one wasn't my favorite. I have enjoyed Summer in the other books and I liked Ronan okay even though I was expecting Flynn. Given the overall plot of Summer being in danger, I guess I was expecting more intrigue. It started strong and I was invested but as the story progressed I started losing interest. Maybe it was a pacing issue for me. By the end, I was skimming scenes to get to the HEA. I am still excited for Taylor and Cary's story next but I'll probably go read something completely different in between before I start it.
I enjoyed this so much!
I love how this story comes together. Adeline needs the guys as much as they need her and their connection is off the charts! Ezra and Cole are the sweet ones. Silas is
I really wanted to like this! I just can't connect with Zahra and it's only getting worse. I find her quips to be childish and unfunny and they take me out of the story. It's upsetting because I was enjoying where the story is going overall. I'm into the astrology even though it gets way too technical. The gods are interesting but I don't have a firm grasp on who each of them are. I could have happily spent all my time with Kane, Saturn, and the twins. DNF @ 58%. 3 stars because I really liked where the story was heading. If you can connect with Zahra you'll probably enjoy the series.
I LOVE these demons!!!
I really enjoyed Demon Kissed! I like witchy things but I wasn't sure what to expect. I ended up in love with each of Katrina's demons for different reasons. I can't wait to see what happens next!
The Demons are winning her back!
Demon Stalked was very cute! I loved the different POVs and seeing their methods of getting Katrina to go to the dance with them. I just wanted more, haha!
This was such a fun ride!
I really enjoyed this series and getting to know Katrina and her Demons. I love the strange family they become. There were some dark twists I didn't expect and a couple things I saw coming but still enjoyed watching play out.
I'm excited to spend more time in this world. I'd like to know more about the angels we met and find out if they find their Center. Really excited to learn more about Lucy. Overall, this was a really fun read!
I liked it but my feelings are complicated
So I've gotten very into polyamorous/ “why choose” books recently. One of my reading groups recommended this series and I'm still deciding how I feel about this first book.
The bad:
This book is flawed. It definitely needs to be properly edited. It can feel disjointed and confusing with the way the scenes flow right into each other sometimes. There are also some plot points at the end that were pretty extreme for the character. That part lost me a bit. I can maybe justify the motivations by where the character's headspace was but it feels like a reach. It made me feel a little emotionally manipulated, so that's part of why I'm conflicted.
The good:
I really connected with the characters! Yes, I got frustrated with the need for an editor but that's mostly because of how good this book would be if it had been edited. I liked the way Peyton's background was handled. It wasn't over the top. It was just the reality of what she had to deal with at home.
The connections with each of the guys felt realistic to me. Each of them appeals to a different side of Peyton. I feel like they have distinct personalities and motivations, so the character development was really the strongest part of the book and we're still learning about them. There's also a bit of a mystery unfolding in the town and I'm intrigued by that.
On top of all this, it was really hard to put this book down! I read it in couple days because I still had to work or I would have finished it sooner. I'm going to continue with the series despite my mixed feelings. There's a lot to connect with here and I want to see where it goes!
Didn't expect to love this!
Listen. Carter isn't for everyone. Read the content warnings. I am still conflicted about the beginning of this relationship but I frankly couldn't put this book down. This isn't my first romance with this kind of Dominant/submissive power dynamic but I don't read a lot of darker romance. I ended up loving Zoey and Carter's relationship but Carter is over the top, manipulative, jealous...I could go on. LOL. But he does actually care deeply about Zoey. That's why I enjoyed this so much! ❤️
ugh! I freaking loved this!
I guess I needed a nice hit of steamy sci-fi omegaverse romance and this really hit the spot! I devoured this book. I loved the idea of a support alpha to help an omega through their heat. Rhen was a sweetheart and I would totally have decided to keep him too! Loved everything about this!
I had so much fun with this!
What a great start to the series! I really enjoyed getting to know Sienna and puzzling through who she is and what she can do. It didn't hurt that she was accompanied by a sexy legion of demons. I wanted more smexy times but it's just the first book and Sia is just coming around to the idea that demons don't follow the same rules. I so enjoyed the interplay between Nick, Sam, Luke, and Bel. You can feel the history and camaraderie between them. Death is actually a sweetheart. That is a sentence I never thought I would write. Haha! Also there is some great worldbuilding here! Some really lovely fantasy touches that I couldn't get enough of. Loved this one and I look forward to spending more time with these characters!
Flynt and Ayla are a force of nature!
I really enjoyed this story about a good girl and the big scary guy who has been obsessed with her since Freshman year but wouldn't speak to her. Ayla quickly becomes just as obsessed with him and I love that for them. It was very easy to connect with Flynt and Ayla. I worried about Flynt sometimes.
