Loved it!
Listen, I've been slowly working my way through all of Ruby Dixon's books and I've loved each and every one so far. This one is no exception! Our hero is a big sweetheart with a bad reputation and Mina is strong willed and fierce. I absolutely loved them together! I now am shuffling my TBR to fit in the Corsairs. I'm excited to read more in this universe.
This is my second foray into Ruby Dixon and I have to say it has been really fun so far.
This book is about the clone of a cold blooded murderous gladiator, who is forced to take his genetic sire - Crulden the Ruiner's place in the gladiator pits, and a kidnapped human ‘pet' forced to ‘attend' him.
The clone trashes his room and when the FMC is forced to clean it out for him and she glares and is pissed at him, he requests that they give her to him in exchange for his cooperation.
After a while they give in and the FMC is rightfully terrified since hes' done nothing but beat the guards into pulp. But he treats her with kindness and respect.
And they slowly grow their friendship and then relationship before they are forced apart to be rescued.
This was a fun one and I see there is another about Crulden's other clone.
