I'm conflicted. I adore the characters and some of the situations they find themselves in leave me concerned. Overall it was really adorable and the characters are loveable. There are instances where the story loses its cohesiveness but the chapters are easy enough to follow.
Onto the next!
So easy to fall for. Puts a smile on your face and makes you laugh out loud. I need more of this in my life! Thanks Roowyn!!
This is one I have to own. The artwork brilliantly represents the Grimm stories. I'm taken aback by its beauty and captured by its representation. Well done.
This is such a great and innovative series, Ms. McGuire has taken falling down the rabbit hole to a whole other level. So much to enjoy and the series continues to get better!
Fantastic! This book was soo good :P Dark and foreboding, you wondered constantly if Jonny was going to survive, and what the Joker was going to next. Topped off with two perfectly mixed art mediums it was gorgeous as well.
this one had some parts I had to push through, but overall an enjoyable read...would recommend..
So far my least favorite in the seriesb but still a good enjoyable story. Really looking forward to the next!
(pg 56) This book sent me for a mental loop...I just couldn't grasp what they were trying to get across. Might be for you, just wasn't for me. Moving on.
Fast read. Has a great premise, with a nice build-up and surprise ending. Give it a shot.
(3.5⭐) Wholly original and fast paced. Enjoyed this little fantasy, looking forward to more.
couldn't have been done better! this was well done a complete story from beginning to end. and what an end it was! ❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤
btw - the gods of aesir are assholes
This was my first Darcy Coates book, and it both did and didn't meet my expectations. I am not the biggest fan of gothic period romances, and going in this felt exactly like that. A ‘forced' marriage due to crumbling circumstances, a strange rich man with a dark demeanor and mysterious home, willing to save her family from destitution. I was eye-rolling with the best of them. This book surprised me, not only did the home and budding relationship meet my expectations, but in the paranormal aspects, it quite exceeded them in what turned out to be a very entertaining and chilling read. So hey in the long run, mayhap I won't judge a book based on others that burnt me, perhaps, just perhaps, I'll give more a chance because of this one.
The book was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
this was definitely a slow read...even listening it was hard to get through 2/3s...but overall I'd say it was a cute book with a solid story and a delightful ending.
I cannot fault this book a single thing. I loved listening to Trevor Noah talk about his childhood, and family, and experiences from South Africa.
Excellent. The intensity that Blake Crouch is able to exhibit is amazing. I never see the twists coming, even when I think worse case scenario, it always ends up being worse than I could have imagined. I am thrilled and wowed and so glad that I've read so many of his books this year. This was the perfect book to finish 2016 with...I can not wait for Good Behavior to come to TNT!
sometimes I wonder what the manga would lose if serinuma chose one of them...then I'm like whatever lol
Still not sure the whole middle school angle is necessary or gives off the right “vibe”, but overall I really like the concept of the manga way more than the execution.
