This was a great standalone book, however by the end of the book you just want to know what happens next and if Mace is ever allowed to be a cop again!
Well that took me ages to read! I liked the start of the book more than when Charlie went to Empis. The characters from fairy tales made the book fun.
I was going to read another long book next for a challenge I'm doing but think I'll read something else first.
It took me awhile to get into this book but once I made it to a certain point I just had to keep reading. It did jump back and forth in time but needed to so we could learn about Isabelle's younger years and why she thought she was the way she was. There were twists and turns at the end!
I read this for a reading challenge I'm doing for the prompt about mental health. Adelaide goes through so much! Her love for Rory made me mad as she was blind for quite some time with how he treated her. Her besties were all amazing. I'm glad it had a happy ending!
I remember when this happened as it made shock waves around the world. I find non fiction quite hard to read and struggled with this. It got very wordy towards the end.
Another great story in the series! Great that Orphan V (Candy) made a couple of appearances - and his txt message to her was classic “don't kill anyone” - I laughed so much!
Wow! I never watched the TV shows she was in but heard this was amazing so had to find out for myself. It was a definite eye opener with the way her mother treated her as a child! Sad that she had other issues after her mum died.
Another great Amos Decker story - although sad that he had a new partner, nice that he contacted Alex. Guessing whodunnit was fun - I was tossing up between two people for most of it, so one was a surprise until you learned the back story!
It took me longer than I thought it would to read this to get into this but it was a great story. Jumped back and forth in time which I'm not a big fan of - but that showed you how they became assassins so was beneficial. The characters were all likeable.
This was a fun read with likeable characters. I guessed the twist - but I think most people would. It had a few laugh out loud moments and some sad moments.
A really entertaining story. Not a fan of books that jump back and forth in time every chapter but it only did that until Evie disappeared fortunately. I really liked all the characters and was great to see how it all ended.
Wow! What each of the 3 main characters went through was just incredible. I felt for each one of them. I was pleased there was an epilogue at the end so we could find out what happened to them all.
A fun story about con artists. I was happy that Lucky got her dog back in the end and met her real mother.
Another enjoyable read! So pleased that Marco was still in this story. Some great one liners in this book - especially from Marco. Dragons! Breen had her own dragon!
Another great Kate Quinn story. I thought it was cool that Kostia was half brother to Nina from The Huntress! That Mila was friends with Eleanor Roosevelt was really interesting. I'm curious to read the autobiography of Lyudmila Pavlichenko now!
I wondered if it would be as good with another writer but it was just as funny and action packed as usual. They even came to my country, New Zealand, in this story. I hope there will be many more books in this series.
This was my first Colleen Hoover book. It was hard to read in places. I'm glad it ended the way it did. May have to read the next book!
Enjoyed Robie and Reel working together again - even if it was a fair way through the book until Reel turned up. Interesting twists and turns! Got to learn more about Robie's background which was good.
I really enjoyed this story, the series is getting better with each book in my opinion! I like that one of the characters from the last book who isn't in the FBI squad turned up in this book, that was a surprise.
Another great story with a cliffhanger so we know there's another Orphan X book coming! I had to take this book back to the library before I was finished so had to wait until I could get it back again as it had a few holds at the library!
I really enjoyed this story and even had a lump in my throat at the end when Robie & Reel found a home for Min.
I found it a little hard to get into initially but once I did I had to keep reading to see what would happen.
Wow - just wow! So amazing to learn Pa Salts back story and how he got each of the girls. Also learning of how the others in his employ came to be working for him! I'm sad the series has come to an end!
