I'm just going to be blunt and honest. I laughed. I cried. I got mad and threw the book across the room and quickly ran over to go get it and continue reading. Somehow it always happens that my favorite characters die. I'm not saying which one but IT ALWAYS HAPPENS. Harry Potter, Eragon, this..... If I had a nickel for every time I cared more about a fictional character more than the real people in my life, I'd have enough money to pay for college AND the psychiatric care that I obviously need. Anywhoozle, I liked the ending but it would have been better IF A CERTAIN PERSON WASN'T DEAD. That is my only complaint.
I read this as an assignment for my Lit class, and it almost killed me to finish it. I didn't hate it, but it never caught my interest. I'm glad I read it though, and I'm planning to see the movie when in comes out. As always, I recommend reading the book before the movie. It may not have been a “wow amazing” book, but it's got a 78% chance of being better than the movie. (and yes, I made that statistic up off the top of my head.)
It's about dragons. Hello? Doesn't get much better than that. Another case of my favorite character dying though. I think all authors o the world are conspiring together just to destroy my emotional stability and mental sanity. And they are succeeding -__-
I think this was when Snape became my favorite character. He's just so darn messed up you gotta love him. Anywhoozle, the plot gets thicker and the magic gets...... magicy-er. That's all I have to say.
