It was a decent book. The constant talk of how much money the family had, for example all of them had planes and villas. They also didn't talk like normal people in my opinion. They talked more like Shakespeare's time. It was weird, too. A few phrases were repetitive. It's a good read if you want to just burn some time otherwise no.
This book is one of the reasons I never go off of the synopsis. It had me excited to dig into this book. It started off with great promise. I kept waiting for the book to have a plot twist or some sort of surprise. Neither of those occurred. It touched on Jess and her issues in the beginning but why was she in the spot that she was in. It eluded to lack of solid guardianship. I think an opportunity was missed. I also think it lacked character development also. I am just disappointed honestly. I will let everyone make their own judgement but this book was not for me. if I did not have a thing about DNF this would have certainly been one.
I really liked this book. It spoke of the time and how life was. The characters were diverse and well shaped. I will read more of his books.
I enjoyed this book. I see several people complain about it. The message is not being received I presume. She did “sleep her way to the top” but at what cost? Her relationships with friends and family suffered as a result. She wrote this to let little people know that this is not the way. Also, to show that just because you have money you still need to know your worth.
I enjoyed this audiobook. I could not get past the fact that the narrator also does The First 48 lol.
This was professionally written. I love books that illustrate some history in them. I personally think the book has several slow parts that made me put it down. I do think this is a delightful read. It opens your eyes to all of the trials and tribulations that were dealt with during this time.
I am not a professional review writer. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It kept me engaged as to what family member was going to be a mess next lol. Wealthy people have a whole heap of problems and are also just a tad bit different. I think you would enjoy this book just give it a shot
I typically do not write reviews but Ms. Freida. Most of the time I can guess who the killer or suspect is in a book. This time I went back and forth multiple times and was not correct at all lol. The character development was spot on. There was also a curve ball at the end as well. This is a must read.
I was left underwhelmed. It came off to me as a rant instead of informing me of the downside to CRT and abortion. Most of the statements made by him were more opinion and not fact. IDK it was some good content in the book, but some of the stuff just hit me bad. Also, I have never heard of CRT until now. I have never been taught to hate white people. Where does he get this from. From my understanding CRT is a college course not high school or lower. He talked negatively about democrats, abortions etc. Not one mention of republicans etc. All of them are equally bad in my eyes. That is just my opinion. If you read this I encourage you to read White Fragility.
I love the book. I usually can guess how it will end. This one had me guessing until a certain part I picked up on a phrase and I was right. This drives my wife nuts lol. This is the first book from this author that I have read and I was not disappointed[b:Just the Nicest Couple 60666845 Just the Nicest Couple Mary Kubica https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1659111505l/60666845.SY75.jpg 95560159]. I wish we could have heard from Jack in the book also. But, this is a entertaining read for sure.
Sis, you make it hard. I try to read books in other genres and by other authors. But this lady here makes it hard for me to do so lol. I love this book the ending is exactly what I expected and my desired outcome. I never want this story to end at all. This is a must-read it ties up loose ends from the previous book.
I really enjoyed these novellas. The last one ended the opposite of how I thought it would though. The short chapters always keep me wanting to continue to see what is next. I see why this one came so highly recommended.
I liked the book. But the similarities to the Ramsey case threw me off. I started to think it was based on it. The ending left a lot to be desired as well. The crime wasn't fully described until the epilouge also. I think it's a good boo, and I love Ashley. This boo, to m, was average at best.
Wow just wow
This book was a few things. Vulnerable, strong, eye-opening, and touching.
In the before portion, Jennette let us into how she was raised. This showed me why she is the way she is. She dealt with a lot during this time such as being forced to take showers with her sibling and having vaginal exams by her mom until she was almost an adult. These are just to name a few. The trauma that was derived from the abuse she endured was unknown to her for the longest. Unfortunately, you cannot fix the problem if you do not know you have one.
The after, she discussed her sex life, dating life, how she views relationships, as well as how she handled love. This girl went through so much at home and at work (the director at Nick being a pervert being one of them.) I feel for her and know why she got out of the spotlight to take care of her mental and physical health. This is a good book to read or listen to. I was a fan of hers any way I am a bigger fan now. I can go on and on so let me stop now. I am team Jennette, not team Ariana lol. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
read in a day
This story is very common in our society. This book touched some very tough situations. I wish the characters went more in depth. The Rachel started to annoy me towards the end my goodness. I wound encourage you to read this book if you haven't.
I have really never gotten into this genre. But, this is a good book. The storyline was fine. I just found Ford to be so materialistic I did not like that, just my opinion. Eve was so precious I found myself smiling when she was interacting. The main lady was sweet and also loved her. I wish the mom had reappeared as well. To go more in depth on why she left and what happened when he found out about paternity. This is just me being picky. It's worth the read.
I read this book rather quickly. It was hard to put down. The plot confused me a bit but I eventually got it. This is a book worth reading. He should continue and make this a series imo.
I read quite a bit, but never write reviews. There is something about this one that makes me want to.
I am with Sam on a lot of his thoughts and actions. I have lived most of my life with a physical disability as well. We always think when people look or stare that this is the cause. The book made Marks in the glue, but I think it was Sam.
We got to see so many sides of Sade the vulnerable, insertive, nurturing (motherhood), and a fighter (getting into a school that is hard to get into especially for females) and I could go on. The one thing that I wanted to happen before it did not was her and Sam to be a couple. I guess they are like oil and water, so it may have been for the best.
This book is a must-read, and I hope everyone that does read it likes it just as much, if not more, than I did.
This is a must-read for everyone. I learned so much from this book. Now I must read anything else she has written......
It was okay. Not what I expected. I knew it would have a movie element. But, the characters did not develop to me. The singing was weird and Dolly I love you but on the audio book she sounded like she has some dip in. Do not get me wrong it's worth reading. With the hype I expected more.
Vulnerable, inspiring, captivating, and a must read. This book uncovered aspects of Will as well as life. It is a must read.
Start to finish
I have never read anything from this author. This is the first and won't be the last. I could not put the book down. All the characters were developed in my opinion. The storyline was engaging also. This was a good book.
I finished this book in like two days. Charlie, Sam, and P, all made me mad at one some point during this ride. The book kept me interested from start to finish. If you like romance, drama, and small towns this is a book for you.
