The book was full of raw feeling, both grief and happiness(sometimes at the same time). Some of the profanity was annoying, simply because it felt forced, on occasion.
Towards the end, it got far too repetitive, but the premise and the writing was good until that point.
A good ending to the series. This novel was much more adult. I felt like these women were wandering throughout much of the book, which seems real to me.
Excellent writing and humor. I read this before bed and I couldn't help but wake up my husband in order to share passages.
Probably about 3.5 stars. I love Sophie Kinsella, but it was a little hard to like the main character. She was the worst impulse buyer ever and didn't seem to realize that money was a real thing.
Imaginative and creative. It took a bit of work to get into, but once I was through the first part, the book read quickly.
The characters were amazing and I was so curious about everything that was going to happen.
Pretty good, but could have used a few more characters and plot. You knew what was going to happen, you just had to read three hundred pages to get there.
never really completed the promise made by the book jacket. It was okay, but no real development or movement.
3.5 stars. Predictable, but an interesting imagining of the first meeting between Kirk and Spock.
3.5 stars. Not as good as the first book and I slogged through the end, but still entertaining.
3.5 stars. The writing was interesting, but the organization within the essays was hard to follow.
Decent, 3.5 stars.
The main character didn't grow very much in the second book or the first, but still an interesting universe.
Took a while to get into and then, towards the end, it was just rather long. But interesting characters and plot.
An interesting look at mothers(biological, custodial, and anywhere in between) and daughters.
3.5 stars.
The narrative was well-written. The biggest problem I had with the book was the writer's lack of setting. EAch chapter was written as if I should already know where and when it took place.
