3.5 stars.
There was a place in the middle of the book, where it was a love story. And that felt forced and weird, and also, kinda icky. Tierney knew nothing of the world, but was able to have sex with another person, a man, who she barely trusted.
However, the last third of the book, that was what I expected, finally, there was something going on and finally, Tierney embraced the others and the grace year.
3.5 stars.
Noah was a pretty interesting character, but never really developed that much (although I think we were supposed to think that he did). The other characters were not really developed either.
The story was ultimately predictable, but still well-written. It was a comfortable book to read.
There was a promise of a mystery, but I don't know what it is was supposed to be (since everything was developed in the first chapter).
A light read, with a rather predictable story. However, the characters were all nicely developed.
A bit predictable, but I really liked the development of the main character.

Very little about the actual game. It was more about the baggage of the characters, which did help to develop them, but I wanted to know about the game, as promised in the blurb.
There was a lot of stuff that was supposed to be inferred, but from what, I ‘m not sure.
I knew the majority of the story. However, I did not know that they blamed the captain for the tragedy. It was heartbreaking to read about his guilt in the situation, when he was not fully informed and thus, couldn't have prevented it.
A little more predictable than I'd expect, the main character was fully developed, but the side characters were a little more 2D.
Overall, a very different story than her others, which is welcome.
Like reading a rom-com. It was mostly light, with some predictable action, but well-written and the characters were interesting.
A nice palette cleanser.
The characters were fully developed, but the plot angered me. The whole book was about the main character and how she didn't want a baby and everyone else in her life thought that she should have a baby, just to keep her husband(who decided after two years of marriage that he did want a baby, after all). Ew.
Moving and sad. A very accurate feeling portrayal of depression and how life moves around it.
3.5 stars. It was very like the author took a Sherlock Holmes case and rewrote it in a fantasy world. There wasn't quite enough explanation about the world for me to be clearly in it.
It took a bit to get into the story, but once the plot finally started rolling, it was exciting and intriguing and I just wanted to know what happened to all of the characters.
It was just a collection of studies, put into a book. And the studies were old and not that deep, even though they tried to show them as if they were the best ever.
Darker than the first (which is impressive). Overall, not as good, there was definitely more of a feeling of hopelessness.
Predictable and the main character was pretty holier than thou. However, it was sweet and often funny.
Interesting story. Wonderful look at how one prestigious doctor can make policy, even without evidence. The whole book reminded me of Wakefield and how easy it is to become fact, sometimes. Wish there was an updated edition that actually spoke of more than just this one boy. It would be useful to see how forced gender reassignment policies had changed.
The main character was interesting enough, although she seemed rather like a manic pixie dream girl.
The other characters were a bit 2D.
As with most “time travel” books, there's just not enough in the other timeline for me. There wasn't anything I saw that showed how it was different and better...
3.5 stars. I expected longer segments on one area, but it was many more topics than should have been covered, so more of a overview than anything in depth.
The first half was good, interesting and well-written. There was this magical realism idea floating through the book and then, then it disappeared and there was rape and attempted suicide.
I would not recommend.
At times a bit predictable, there were also a lot of loose ends at the end of the book of plot points that were promised to be completed.
