Interesting story. Wonderful look at how one prestigious doctor can make policy, even without evidence. The whole book reminded me of Wakefield and how easy it is to become fact, sometimes. Wish there was an updated edition that actually spoke of more than just this one boy. It would be useful to see how forced gender reassignment policies had changed.
