I'm blown away by Sara Ochs debut because I didn't pick the final twist!
As an author who writes in this genre, I can usually see twists early in the story but not with this one. I thought I had it figured out several times but...TA DA! Ochs is a master at crafting a compelling read.
I'll be reading more from her.

I'm particularly fond of alpha heroes being brought to their knees and authors who know how to write a seriously good hero: how he thinks, how he talks.

Peeta is a great hero and Katniss...resourceful, canny and sharp, with a hard exterior shell that is marvellously breeched by her sister, her friend Gale, Rue and the hero.
Thankfully, I have Catching Fire, the sequel, on hand to dive straight back into the series!

This is my first Mickey Haller novel and I wish I'd read The Lincoln Lawyer before this one: would've given me more insight into Mickey's character.

The results are hilarious and warm and lovely.
