A wonderful rural romance, with heartfelt emotion and genuine characters.
Like curling up on the couch under a snuggly blanket, this book will give you all the feels.
A page-turner that will tug on your heartstrings.
Read it almost in one sitting.
*Trigger warnings: child abuse, domestic violence.
Raw, gritty, realistic multi-cultural YA set in my home city Melbourne.
Thoroughly enjoyed.
Well-written.
Kylie Scott writes sexy alpha heroes and sassy strong heroines, so Patrick and Norah are no exception.
A page-turner packed with banter and sizzle, this fake dating romance will leave you smiling.
Looking forward to interviewing Maya at Brighton Library on June 28th about this warm-hearted rural romance.
Connor, the hero, is divine, and April is a strong-willed heroine.
Great cast of secondary characters too!
Set predominantly in the UK, we follow Cora, a nurse, and Jessie, a volunteer, as they traverse the harrowing fallout from WW1, their friendships, their loves.
I'm blown away by Sara Ochs debut because I didn't pick the final twist!
As an author who writes in this genre, I can usually see twists early in the story but not with this one. I thought I had it figured out several times but...TA DA! Ochs is a master at crafting a compelling read.
I'll be reading more from her.
A lovely read, based on a true story of the author's Japanese grandmother and Australian grandfather during WW2.
What a wonderful read.
Can't speak highly enough of it.
A wonderfully romantic novel packed with lovable characters and heartfelt emotion.
Absolutely loved it!
One of those perfectly comforting reads to curl up with and block out the world until you reluctantly turn the last page.
Nora is a gastro specialist who returns home to Scupper Island after a terrifying ordeal.
Here, she uncovers family secrets, bonds with her recalcitrant niece Poe and puts the past to rest.
I loved the gentle flow of this story (and the scene with Tweety the bird at her mother's house made me LOL!)
A wonderfully engaging read. Recommend!
I love this series!
I'm particularly fond of alpha heroes being brought to their knees and authors who know how to write a seriously good hero: how he thinks, how he talks.
Seeing Mason and Katrina get together was oh so good!
Devoured this in less than 24 hours.
A page turner filled with interesting characters that will keep you guessing.
A fitting end to this amazing series.
I read them all over the last 2 weeks, could hardly put them down.
And the early ones I re-read, because I read them soon after release.
Truly addictive reading and amazing world building.
Have heard so many rave reviews about this one and it didn't disappoint.
One of the downsides of being an author is being able to pick the plot twists and the bad guys and I picked both early in this one, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment as the story unfolded.
A real page-turner.
Love Amy's books.
She has such a distinct voice and her characters never fail to make me smile.
The speed in which I read this book, while on tight deadline, shows how much I loved it.
Read it in a day because I couldn't put it down (that includes one of my kid's birthdays and running around all day with life stuff.)
Absolutely riveting page turner.
If you're a parent, you'll understand the lengths the heroine goes to in order to save her child.
The constant plot twists ensured the pages flew.
I'm a huge fan of Lisa Gardner and will eagerly await her next book.
I bought the previous 7 books in this series, but lost interest when the last 2 books veered in surprising directions.
Awakened has ‘reawakened' my interest in the House of Night series, pun intended!
There is great character development for several favourite cast members, and a few shocks that kept me turning pages.
The cliffhangers leading into the next in the series are excellent.
I'm looking forward to following the adventures of Zoey Redbird, Stevie Rae, Stark, Neferet, Kalona and co. in Destined.
This book certainly lived up to the hype.
A real page-turner!
Peeta is a great hero and Katniss...resourceful, canny and sharp, with a hard exterior shell that is marvellously breeched by her sister, her friend Gale, Rue and the hero.
Thankfully, I have Catching Fire, the sequel, on hand to dive straight back into the series!
This YA fantasy sucked me in completely.
The seraphim and chimaera (a strange hybrid of animal/humans) are at war and have been for centuries.
Karou and Akiva's romance is addictive.
And the cliffhanger ending? Guaranteed to have me reading the sequel.
Enjoyable.
This is my first Mickey Haller novel and I wish I'd read The Lincoln Lawyer before this one: would've given me more insight into Mickey's character.
Without reading the first in the series, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read.
I love a good legal thriller and this one delivered, with suitable twists at the end.
I love the Harry Bosch character from previous books and loved the personal twist with him at the end too.
Picking up a book in the Myron Bolitar series is like coming home to an old friend.
You know the voice, you know what you're going to get and it's part of the appeal.
Love the fast pace and the intriguing plot twists and turns.
Interesting to see one of the secondary characters, Mickey, will be the star of Coben's first YA novel out soon. Another example of a big name author entering the lucrative YA market.
I'm a huge fan of contemporary romance (SEP novels rock!) and now have another author I will keenly follow.
Shannon Stacey's Kowalski family are addictive.
I read this book late at night in bed on my ereader after meeting deadlines of my own, and ended up getting little sleep because I couldn't put it down.
One of those wonderful romances you wish wouldn't end.
A seriously hot hero Joe (who's an author) and a career-driven heroine Keri (his first love) go camping with his family.
The results are hilarious and warm and lovely.
Looking forward to reading the sequels.
