I love picking up on the nuances during each reread. This series just keeps getting better with each reread, definitely a comfort series. I love reading the foreshadowing and the parts where He appears.. just so so good
anemoia - n. nostalgia for a time you've never known
Honestly, anemoia is how I feel every time I read about Velaris.. I yearn to see the city in person and witness its beauty.
I love the scenes where the whole family is together, it makes my heart so happy. The character development that Feyre goes through in ACOMAF is harrowing and I just love witnessing the journey to her happy ending.

Spark of the Everflame is such a captivating romantasy. This is my second read through, first read was indie published and second is an ARC. Thank you to NetGalley and Artia Books for the ARC of Spark of the Everflame! I'm so happy this series got picked up for traditional publishing and congratulations to the author, Penn Cole. The Kindred's Curse Saga is a series that will have you jumping from one book straight into the next and you won't want to put them down.
Spark of the Everflame is a slow burn, enemies to lovers romantasy*. Spark follows Diem Bellator, an assistant healer, who is going through a lot at the moment, and Prince Luther, who is super grumpy and broody. When Diem learns a secret that her mother, who has disappeared, kept from her, she dives into the world of the descended. There's secrets, politicking, magic, and some banter.
The first 60% of this book FLIES by but the last 40% drags a bit and I found myself skimming some scenes. In the first half everything is introduced to us and the second is to set up for the next book. Diem kept making silly decisions in the second half which sort of changes from her mature personality in the first half. Luther can do no wrong and I won't hear anything different
I couldn't put this one down. This had me so hooked. The banter between the characters was so fun to read. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book
What a crazy ending!
The relationships seemed to have flipped very suddenly. I wish it happened more slowly and we were able to see the change instead. There are so many secrets I cannot wait to find out more about.

I'm so upset that I let this book sit on my shelf for years before finally reading it... this story is so good and gripping! I cannot wait to jump into Bitterblue and her story
I'm upset about that ending! If I'd known this is where the story would go, I'd have never started it to begin with..
This definitely has that middle book syndrome. The first 60% was pretty boring and slower paced. The final 40% was where everything important happened. But that ending
Thank you so much to the author, Kaytalin Platt, and NetGalley for the ARC of the book. I absolutely loved and adored every page of this book. I am so grateful for being able to read this as an ARC because I will be telling absolutely everyone to read Of Silver and Sin.
You should read this book if you like: romance fantasy that is darker and emotional but has spice, great plot, and amazing characters.
Of Silver and Silver is about a monster, Ranemir, and a monster hunter, Tenele, being forced to team up together after some devastating events.
I honestly think that's all you need to know because I recommend going into this book blind and letting the story take you on such an amazing journey.
Kaytalin Platt writing style had me hooked. She writes so effortlessly yet beautifully, you can't help but continue on to the next chapter to know what's next. I will definitely be reading through her entire backlist, I am simply enamored. The way she seamlessly weaves in the background information to make it apart of the story is so beautifully done. Not once did I feel like there was an info dump, instead I was learning the world as I continued reading. The writing alone should be a main reason to pick up this book.
I cannot recommend this book enough. Of Silver and Sin is a book you won't want to miss out on.

Thank you NetGalley and Rebecca L. Garcia for the arc of this book and being trusted to review it honestly. When I first read the synopsis of Night of Death and Flowers I was so intrigued. It had everything I love in a fantasy, magic, gods, romance, and a trial.
This book follows a witch named Calista who has the God of Death's powers. Calista does not agree with the trial that happens every 10 years and is trying to stop it from happening. What she doesn't know is that after 150 years of being away the God of Death, Azkiel, returns to Dahryst to try and stop the prophecy that is said to destroy him. This is the beginning of their story... or is it?
I really enjoyed the first couple of chapters and getting introduced to our female main character. I did struggle a lot with the authors writing style. I kept having to reread sentences to make sense of the writing and what is being told to me. I was bored for a lot of the time and the pacing was too slow. I felt a lot of it was just them waiting around for something to happen. I also was annoyed that a lot of the chapters end with the female main character either fainting, passing out, or being poison. It was so irritating to have to read basically the same thing over and over again. I wanted to love this, it had all the right ideas for me to love it but it fell short for me.

This was an absolute blast to read! I flew through this so fast, it's incredibly readable. I'd sat down and I was half way through before realizing it.
I had an inkling that something was up with a certain character and I'm glad my suspicions were right! I didn't know exactly what would happen but I knew that character was suspicious. I cannot wait to see what will happen in the next book between all the characters. I'm dying to see how much stronger Rune gets now that she can actually learn.
I thought this was YA going it but I'd say it's more new adult. I really recommend this one. It takes no time at all to get through.
