I really didn't feel anything between Miles and Willow.. the story also got really repetitive half way through. I did like how the situation tied up, got my heart racing a bit.
Dnfing the series here. Really not interested in the other two stories.

I had so many mixed emotions while reading this. There were parts that were so hard to read just because of how cringy they were. Then there were times where I couldn't put this down and wanted to continue the story. I have mixed feelings on all the characters, but the main relationship is definitely not going to last.. they shouldn't even be together especially with all the trauma bonding they did.
I really like the last 100 pages the most. The way the story ended was so fun to read and very satisfying, in my opinion. I don't know if I will continue reading this series (very obvious set up at the end there...) but I might or might not.
I recommend this for the vibes and the gloominess, but if you want more than vibes then I suggest skipping this read. It is definitely the right time of year to read this though so no regrets there :)

I really enjoyed reading this series. The characters growth throughout and the found family is just so good
First, thank you to NetGalley and S.H. Clasen for the arc of this read. I really appreciate it being trusted to review this book :) Now, I was HOOKED from the opening sentence till the very end. I could not put this book down and I definitely need the second book!! This had me laughing, gasping, tearful, and just feeling so much while reading.
This book follows Leanne, a mortal who is involved with a crime boss. She falls into some trouble and is saved by a very mysterious and handsome man. Unknown to Leanne, her mystery man is a vampire!! He ends up biting her and turning her into a vampire. That's where their story begins.
When I tell you I was not expecting the emotional depth that they went through together and the trials Leanne had to face... I was not prepared!! Also, I don't think I could ever prepare for the cliffhanger this ended on, my goodness! I cannot wait for the next book to be released, I will for sure be reading it. I really enjoyed this read and highly recommend picking it up!!
Tropes:
Mentor/Mentee
Vampires
Blood sharing
Mafia/Crime Family
This had me giggling, kicking my feet and at the edge of my seat. The gothic vibes were immaculate
The fact that this is 200 pages of them shitting on NASA's management is the best part. The whole tragedy would've been avoided if management listened to engineers concerns and didn't assume so much.
Going to update later with some of my favorite quotes from the Board. Would recommend if you like to read about space and NASA.
I'm not rating this.
From the start I never wanted to put this book down. I was so excited to read this book while I was reading it. I couldn't consume it fast enough, yet I never wanted it to end!
King Atlas did grow on me, especially after one particular scene
If you took Celaena Sardothien made her more irritating and childish and put her into a shittier version of Forth Wing, this is what you'd get.
Arla Reinhart is supposedly the best assassin in her kingdom, so much so that she is the “kings assassin”. However, all of her actions went against that. Multiple times she referenced not being as good as she should've been or how “known” she was around the kingdom. It was not a well depiction of her being this “badass unbeatable assassin”. Not only that but the dialogue was so very bad. It felt forced which made it cringey to read. Everything that she said made me constantly roll my eyes.
Hark Stappen felt like every romantasy MMC mashed into one. There was no originality with him. Broody ✔️ Standoffish ✔️ complete fucking dick ✔️ I hated this man with my whole heart. This chapter POVs made me die inside everytime they came up.
I am usually more forgiving with debut authors. However, this felt very much like a mash of so many romantasy greats. It was not well written. I can get past bad writing if the story is entertaining, but with this the story was cringy and the writing was bad. I recommend skipping out on this one, you won't miss much of anything. This one should've stayed in the drafts a little longer..

Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers for the opportunity to read an ARC of Dragonhart.
Super sweet. A bed time retelling of Kaguya, definitely worth checking out. I loved the addition of the pictures to help explain some of the items.
dear lord this took me a moon and a half to get through. This did not need to be over 500 pages long. Literally felt like I kept reading the same conversation just in different locations. It also put me into one of the biggest reading slumps I've ever been in. DNF series here.
The worst thing about starting an incomplete series is the wait for the next book.. what a cliffhanger that ending was.
I felt like majority of this book was rush and wish it was drawn out more. I wish we got to see more of the connection between characters. I want everything to work out for all of them and need to know what is happening with the city.
Final rating: 2.5 stars ✨
I mean it was alright, I guess?
I prefer a “he falls first” romance over a “she falls first”. Even after the third act “break up” there was no groveling. She took him back after a couple of minutes. This just didn't work for me.
I'm glad that I have read more from Kristin Hannah so I know this isn't what her work is typically like. This was a miss. Glad to have it off my TBR though.
I once again got hit with the dying dad trope unexpectedly. I did tear up during that bit. Mariah needed that character growth though, but still hurt.
Overall, I'd say skip this one. Kristin Hannah has much better books than this one.

A great ending to a great series ☺️
I'm so sad this series is over. I grew to love these characters so much.. especially Crypt, he's my favorite
