Wonderful book that every Dutch citizen should read to get a proper understanding of the role before/during/after colonization of Indonesia.
Through this book I got a better insight on the recent history of China and what makes China different from many other nations. Though the book is very objective I missed a bit a critical note. It's a big eye opener that Europe has played such a little role in China's recent history. There was only one paragraph about the European Union.
Very welcome book to anyone who runs a business, wants to run one or is aiming for ‘intrapreneurship' within a larger company. I was always convinced that being small wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but this book gave me more reason to believe and find better ways to run my business.

This book gives better insights on what China wants and how their neighboring countries perceive China. Very helpful to understand how the world is changing.

I knew very little about the Spanish civil war and this book of personal accounts gave me a beautiful insight in what Spain was like in those times. As if I was sitting on grandpa's knee. Amazing tribute to the fallen. Must read.
