I'm not surprised the final bits took me weeks to read. It's sorta on brand. I will say the first few pages had me hooked, and I took so many photos of things I wanted to share or come back to. I highly recommend it for anyone who had ADHD or just wants to learn more. It has lots of acceptance and ideas and tools and things to talk about and share and do
Nothing about it was earth shatteringly new but so much stuff I didn't know was ADHD, or wasn't ADHD, or I had forgotten about.
Def a recommend for others (lemme know if you want to borrow my copy, one of the few physical ones I have now)
loved the characters.
just going to say the end was depressing and kinda unfulfilling.
first book was the best. second was worth it if you liked first enough. would only recommend third to completionists
I did enjoy this book. I really did. Its very short. Simple. Sweet. Etc. I loved the characters as well, so many different ideas and personalities.
That being said, it was somewhat predictable. After reading a feminist rant about Dresden Files, I really was hoping luna would be a more interesting character. At least she has reasons to be how she is.
I felt the book set an unrealistic pace as well. Started of amazing, then at approx the 50% mark, dropped and started to explain character histories and motivations, then left a big finish in the end.
All that being said, I'll still check out the next books ‘cause i enjoy this one, it just felt a bit lacking (to me).
The only downside to this book (for me) is that I figured out what was going on pretty early. I don't think it was designed to be a thriller style where you don't find out until the very end.
I loved the characters. I loved the growth, and admittedly teared up a bit at the very end.
This was by far my favorite book in the series.
I'm really starting to enjoy urban fantasy as a series, and I've enjoyed this series more than dresden. Just because of the dark not entirely goodie goodie aspects.
Its late (you can tell I enjoy a book when I stay up late reading it) so don't exactly have lots to say about it, but I recommend anyone who even remotely likes the genre to give it a read.
Very touching book. Well written (at least in my opinion). I kinda read it quicky and will need to re-read it again some day.
Didn't enjoy the rapey attitude of the “bad guy”. Didn't enjoy main “couple” having to stop and kiss almost constantly. The whole “touch me touch me touch me I need to be touched” stuff was very uncomfortable (though totally understandable from the characters history/point of view).
I really only liked the last few chapters, and even then I think I'm going to find a synopsis online somewhere for the rest of the series.
