The author advertises this as Black Widow (my favorite film of all time) meets Divergent (my middle school favorite book) so I'm seated.

This was a tough decision, but I just have no motivation to continue on with this book. This book wasn't particularly bad, it was just a bit boring and confusing.
I'm docking this book 1 & 1/2 stars because I honestly?? Didn't enjoy this?? As much as I did a couple of years ago????
I believe that part of the reason is that this book was just so damn slow and boring. The other part was that either I'm just not enjoying the story and the historical aspects of it or that I prefer The Mortal Instruments over this. I just didn't like this book; However, I've heard that the next books are better, so I'm going to hang in there and continue the series.
Also, Unpopular Opinion Time™!
I! Don't! Like! Wessa!!! I just don't like how Will treats Tessa and how he acts around her?? Like I'm sure he's got his own problems and stuff but I don't know, they just seem weird together and I prefer Jessa anyways. I mean, I know Will and Tessa end up together (don't bitch at me for reading spoilers, I know you've done it before too), so maybe my opinion will change when I read the next books.

Right okay so I'm just finding out about this now?? Loki is my second favorite Marvel character so I really hope this doesn't turn out horrible.

Every time I see this in my Kindle app, I literally dread the thought of opening it up and continuing to read it again. It's so boring, too overly-drawn out, and Fable keeps giving me secondhand embarrassment. HOWEVER. I do want to give this another try at some point.

I read this as an alternate project. The class was reading “To Kill A Mockingbird”, but my mom felt I was too young to read it so requested that the teacher give me an alternate assignment. The assignment was this book.
I finished it in the span of a few hours in a literal (hi welcome to) Chili's. This book was just so moving and emotional that it took a lot of will to not cry in the restaurant. This book taught me to value your family, friends, and every day you have as if it's your last.
The assignment was to write an essay on how the plot of the book changed me as a reader and how the characters decisions influenced me as a person. I never did the assignment.
