To the people who read this book all the way through, I applaud your patience and determination. The only reason why I didn't DNF this at 10% was because my car broke down and while I was waiting for the mechanic to arrive, this was the only book I had in my car. Go fucking figure.

one of my most anticipated reads of the year y'all i'm screaming!!!
Fun Fact: I read this book before The Sorcerer's Stone because my 11 year old self was bare dumb and didn't know that this wasn't the first one lmao

This is bullshit.
God, I don't even know how to describe these feelings. I felt... disconnected from the story compared to how much I liked it a few years ago. I definitely didn't see that ending coming and I don't like it. Yes, I want Tobias to move on, but not with his dead ex-girlfriend's best friend. What the hell.
I'd much rather read a crappy fix-it fanfiction written by a ten year old than this. Fuck off.
this book was the catalyst for my parents' divorce. yes i am absolutely 100% serious. no i will not go into detail.
This series is honestly one of my favourite trashy-guilty-pleasure reads. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this series.

i want to read this so bad but i'm making myself wait for the third book to come out because i feel like this is one of those series i'm just going to want to read back-to-back-to-back

I really want to read this, but I'm currently not in the mood. I'll come back to this another time, probably in audiobook format instead.

Fireborne just isn't pulling me in, and I'm really sad about it. A lot of the BookTok girlies were calling this ‘young adult Fourth Wing' and while I can somewhat see why they say this, it's a very disappointing comparison. Fireborne felt more like 90% teen drama and angst, 10% dragons, magic, and everything else. Idk. May be revisiting this someday, who knows.

I wasn't enjoying the story as much as I had hoped to. I feel like I would've enjoyed this more if this had been turned into an episode of the show.
Pre-Reading Updates:
