Copenhagen Like a Local: By the people who call it home
Great book to plan a trip to Copenhagen. I bookmarked places in google maps while i read.
I'm enjoying the Wild Cards stories, but the art in this one was odd. Sometimes it looked cool, but towards the end it was looking real bad.
I really enjoyed this story of Eli and Josh. I honestly would have read a longer story of them. But because it's a short story, there's not a long wait to get to the good stuff. I could have used a little more character building (but I chalk that up to how short it is).
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wasn't very into this at first and almost didn't even finish, but the story started to get really good. I really like where it ended up and I'm curious if the story will be continued.
I picked this up for lunch ideas for me (I'm getting tired of buying packaged things at Trader Joe's). Lots of great ideas that would work for kids or adults.
Great performance by Christina Applegate. Story was fun too and had a good resolution. Not quite funny or clever enough to warrant a higher rating though.
I really liked the conceit of this, 3 1/2 stars. I would love to see it flushed out in a full length graphic novel.
Only reason it isn't a full five stars is because it's so short. Beautifully written and I look forward to reading her full length novels.

Really enjoyed everything about this short story, and the fact that it connected back to her other short story. Fun main character, great Krampus characterization, and hot hot bedroom bits.
I thought this was excellent. Not really a book, more of a collection of podcast episodes that have been packaged as a book. But I found myself putting off finishing it because I wanted to prolong it. All the guests were great and I want to look up all their work. Aparna is a great host. And the fake ads were perfect. So much so, that one night I was listening as I was driving to a friend's house in the rain, while one fo the fake ads was for an app called “There's a storm coming”, an app to get out of plans. :)
Terrible book. Weird story and poorly written. However, I can tell the author can write because the afterword was straightforward. Would not read this to a kid.
Excellent book full of tips on sketching and painting. Feels like an art class in a book. Plenty of things I found fascinating and never would have thought of.
Even just reading it I still teared up in all of the places in the show that make me tear up. Just absolutely my favorite show of all time. Nothing else competes.
These one shots are cute. But for the most part, they always leave me wanting more. Still it's well drawn and they use the characters well
Excellent. Two love stories for the price of one and expertly written. I loved both couples. This is only my first Lisa Kleypas, but I will be devouring all she's written.
3.5 *
Good story and beautiful art, but it almost felt like it was missing something. Like it was missing pages even though it wasn't. I liked the ending. It felt true to real life in a way.

I was liking it at first, but it just maintained a steady “they go here and do a thing, then they go here and do another thing” flow and it got a bit dull. I had heard this is a comfort read for some people, but it just didn't scratch that itch for me. I will rewatch the movie though.
Some good forward movement in the story. The confrontation with Apollo was well written and infuriating as it needed to be.
In the acknowledgments, it says that “the events of the story are both too real and entirely fictional”, and I think that's an excellent summary of the book. The characters feel very lived in and real, and it really feels like you're reading a slice of life. Loved it!
Took me a little while to get into the story, but once I was in thought it was really good. I definitely think it plays better for people who are native to Hawaii and understand the culture more. But this was both an interesting peak in and a good story about mothers and daughters.
