I’m sure this has its audience, but I was hoping for something more centered towards stories of history and 50 Cent’s past, with explanations of how those can apply to a broader public. Instead, this is a self-help book through and through, with calls to action every couple lines, vaguely connected to real stories. I’m sure it has its public, but wasn’t particularly interesting for me.

Dune introduced such a fresh take on science fiction, and built such a unique universe around it, but at times it does read like a corny power fantasy. I wish there was a middle ground between the book that showcases a lot more of the politic dynamics and inner thoughts of the characters with the movie adaptation that makes Paul a lot more human and relatable.
