Great stories! I enjoyed reading these. Some are recaps from other investigations, but no less interesting as there is always something new to be picked up when relooking through older cases.
Greatly enjoyed this one!
Who would think a haunted collection could cause so much destruction?
Charles is about to discover what can happen when haunted items are cursed. As he does his best to keep the collection safe, and the items locked up, it may just kill him - in fact, that is what they are trying to do!
I absolutely LOVED this book! I could not put it down. I listened to an audio version, so shower, car, work - I had it playing as much as I could so that I could find out what would happen next. Ron Ripley is one of the best out there, and I enjoy his stories. I hope he continues this series, I would love more!
Ron Ripley never disappoints, and these five stories will keep you entertained and scare the pants off you as you read through.
Each of the five stories takes you through different scares and thrills, and some don't end the way that you expect them to! It will keep you guessing throughout, but man, what wonderful stories!
Cannot wait to read more by Ron Ripley!
Do you love things that go bump in the night? Not everything scary happens in the dark. Join the scare street team as they bring you this volume of scary stories!

Haunted in America is a variety of stories, covering just about everything you can think of! It was a fun and interesting read, giving the readers some insights that might not have been considered, drawing back into history, and providing an overall fascinating story.
I enjoyed the different haunts presented in this book, and now have some new places to add to my haunted map! Leslie Rule did NOT disappoint!
Linda Lou Long takes us into the mind of the serial killer, Jerry Marcus, who evaded police scrutiny for years. While he might have been suspect in some crimes, he was so nice and easy going, that no one suspected that he might just be capable of murder... and more than one murder at that.
Jerry Marcus had a rough upbringing, one of domestic abuse and violence. He thought he could escape it. He worked hard, was an athlete, and was dedicated to whatever job he put his mind to. However, he was a serial womanizer, moving from relationship to relationship, fathering several children along the way. Some of his girlfriends would change the locks so he could not return, while he just disappeared out of the lives of others.
As Jerry got his start in killing, he knew he had to be careful. After all, he didn't mean to kill those women, at least that is what he told himself. After a 13-year period where he managed to walk mostly straight and narrow, Jerry started killing again, this time in more rapid succession, and leaving evidence behind of his crimes.
This was an interesting book. It is laid out very methodically, with the author relying on many of the interviews and correspondence that she shared with Jerry Marcus. He was linked to his crimes after an arrest when he started telling them about the line of bodies attached to his name.
Are there other victims? More than likely, but unless he decides to share, no one will ever know.
Great book and an enticing read. For true crime lovers, this is a great one to pick up!
Thank you to WildBlue Press for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Absolutely LOVED these stories! I imagine volume 3 is going to be even better.
There are some stories that can make a person's stomach turn, so watch for those. However, when it comes to horror, this is your one-stop-shop for the awesomeness!
Interesting story of a cold case! I enjoyed reading through this one, the case breakthroughs, and the different information presented.
This short novel is packed with great information and details the case as it endures years of slow-moving moments, finally gaining some momentum.
A perfect weekend read.
Oh my! I enjoyed reading through this book. There is a fascinating history here, full of why people were committed in the first place (some of them are shocking), but also recounting the story of seven women who were held there, after committing murder.
While not always the most comfortable read, it was enjoyable over all, with great information and facts throughout. Highly recommend.
Ohhh this was fabulous! I was trying to update as I went through but hit 11%, not 81% - and my notes didn't keep either (gotta love technology).
If you are a true crime fan, you are going to LOVE this book! Full of fun facts, court cases, who-dun-its, and a run down of the case. Interesting book, and hard to set down.
Absolutely a FANTASTIC read! If you are looking for a well-thought-of history, this is the perfect book. Martin J. Dougherty brings the Dark Ages to ‘light,' giving a new perspective to this period in history.
If you are looking for a book for more research and discovering more of the history of this era, this is it!
Learn more about the Great White Shark in this cute little story! Perfect for young readers, this book gives you a lot of great info on the shark.
Add in the amazing illustrations in the book, you are in for a treat!
Loved this read! I enjoy reading about sharks, and learning more about life in the ocean - and I can't wait to see this one in print, sharing with my kids!
Mia and Violet are best friends. When Violet leaves school sick one day, Mia looks forward to when she will return. But Violet continues to get sicker, and passes away.
Mia is left feeling lonely, and watching the kids in her class continue as though nothing happened, and she begins to get angry, withdrawing into herself.
When she discovers that everyone misses Violet, and she can continue to keep her friend's memory alive by doing some of the nice things that Violet used to do, while involving her classmates, her outlook gets brighter, and she becomes happy again.
Dealing with grief with kids is hard, but this book was a great introduction into how to deal with it.
Really enjoyed this one! I love the true crime genre, and listening to Henry Milner's stories were a nice break from the crazy.
For those that are interested in true crime, and want a few laughs (great sense of humor), then you will enjoy this one!
Absolutely enjoyed this book! I had never heard of this one before, and it was a real treat to read it.
What happens when a strange couple lives in the house on the corner? They become fodder for town gossip - but there is more to it than that. The couple is strange, and everyone comments on it.
What happens next - well, you have to read this book to figure it out. You are going to LOVE this one!
As boys keep disappearing, there is one person who knows what happened, while no one believes him. He has worked for years to forget, but the nightmares keep returning. He is determined to put a stop to it once and for all.
As Mason works with one of the local police officers and the town librarian, he finds the mystery runs much deeper - and much longer, than anyone would have cared to admit.
This was a hard read in some places, but a good book overall!
When mysterious deaths and people begin showing up in Thorn, there is one man who knows what is happening. The town broke the contract with the Blood family, and in order for order to be restored, a new contract must be struck, before everyone in town is killed off.
Great read! Absolutely loved it!
Hedgehog is minding his own business when all of the sudden - he is surprised by something literally dropping in on top of him! As he tries to find help, Carla is not sure she wants him to ask anyone else for help. Hedgehog does his best, but sometimes even a good friend needs someone to help. And as a surprise - sometimes wishes come true too!
My Review of A Flying Visit
What a cute story! Teamwork is always the best way to get a job done, but sometimes it takes a little convincing for everyone to accept the need.
This sweet story of friendship, help, and working as a team was a fun and delightful read. The images are superb. Have some fun looking at the pictures after reading the page! You will love sharing this story with your young readers, and it's easy enough that they can read it on their own as well!
Every now and then, we forget something. Everyone does it. Some people are more forgetful than others. But, have you ever wondered what happens when something? Well, let's take a look at the Forgettery!
Amelia and her grandmother wander into the woods and lose track of time. Worse still, they forget the way home! As they walk deeper into the forest, they find The Forgettery, a place where everything goes that you forget. Each person has a room, and how it is, depends on the number of things that you have forgotten.
Amelia and her Granny wander through their rooms, looking at all the memories of the past. Granny enjoys her time inspecting her old memories. While Amelia's room is much smaller, there were still fun things to find.
My Review of The Forgettery
Oh my goodness! What an adorable book! I enjoyed reading through this one, and the fun little story. The illustrations are well done, and the story flows easily, sure to keep kids engaged from start to finish.
This beautiful book gives children a way to learn about dementia and memory loss. While it is sometimes easy to forget things, some are upset when everyday memories and items are forgotten.
I highly recommend this amazing little book! You are going to love the images, the story, and the overall message contained within. One of the sweetest books I have read this year.
What a cute little story! The Mice Before Christmas is a heartwarming little book, of Christmas cheer and family. Each little mouse has their own function to fulfill, and they are scurrying about, preparing before Santa Mouse appears.
A spin off of “The Night Before Christmas” with all its warm feels. LOVED IT!
Interesting book full of different stories and myths on treasures. I really enjoyed the historical background that was provided, and the short chapters, which kept the reader engaged throughout.
Ugly Cute was such an adorable book! I absolutely loved reading through the different animals that were presented in the book.
The way that this book was set up, it makes it easy for young readers or those that are interested in learning more can understand these animals, and their environments.
Highly recommend this book to everyone! It is perfect for the coffee table and I look forward to watching new readers pick up this book and flipping through it.
What a sweet way to get this across! I loved this little book. The Lord's Prayer was one we said all the time as kids, and it brought back some fabulous memories.
Well done, with fantastic artwork!
If you are remotely scared of the dark, then you might want to read these during the day, and not while you are alone.
From a patient in a mental hospital, to a cemetery with sinister goings on after dark. These stories are among the best that I have read. Ron Ripley never disappoints with his writing, and these are some of the best stories that I have read.
