See allThe Last Migration is one of the most heart wrenching, haunting and breathtaking books which follows the journey of Franny Stone, a lost and troubled individual, who finds purpose in following the migration of the last Arctic terns while trying to make sense of her own life. On her journey she persuades Ennis Malone, captain of a shipping vessel on their final voyage, as they follow the terns in hopes of finding fish. During Franny's travels she writes many letters to her husband yet keeps them all. The crew she sails with have their suspicions and are dubious of Franny's true mission as her true past is a mystery. A tragic and tear-jerking tale about loss, survival, love and finding yourself. An extraordinary book that is hauntingly unforgettable.
The Mother Fault is an intense, fast-paced, edge-of-your seat thrill ride, following Mim's journey in her search for her missing husband and defying all odds to protect her family. With everyone against her, Mim's journey to find her husband takes her across the country, outback, and ocean, with her two children in tow. Kate Mildenhall creates a scarily probable futuristic dystopian world with many significant parallels to our current society. I highly recommend this book to anyone as it hits all the rights places to make the reader both unsettled and intrigued. Absolutely impossible to put down and had me holding my breath until the very last page.
