The book was okay. Interesting premise about this intense science experiment and a mysterious man. But there are too many questions and not enough answers.
This was a good twist on the typical alien romance stories. The beginning lead me to believe it would be the stereotypical plot line, but then it took a turn for the better. Really enjoyed it although the end seemed kinda rushed.
I thought this book was alright. The main character made some pretty rash decisions that showed her immaturity at times, which was frustrating.
I thought this book was well crafted. I like the two love stories being intertwined and the mystery Clara was trying to figure out. I enjoyed the modern twist on Beauty and the Beast.
This book was /alright/. It wasn't anything special. The main character was supposed to be a badass but it didn't really seem like it. The action all happened at the end of the book and the build up was pretty boring.
I thought this was a good book. It could have been longer though. Since it was shorter, it lacked character depth.
This would have been better if I cared at all about Rowen as a character. The epistolary format did not work for the narrative.
This book was a lot of fun. I liked the dynamic between Olive and Ethan and the twist with her twin and her husband.
This book was alright. I mostly believed that the main characters were falling in love. The ending seemed a bit rushed. But overall it was good.
I honestly enjoyed the mob theme throughout the book. I have never read a romance revolving around the mob before. I enjoyed the main character's backstory and how she put herself into this world.
Everything was going well...and then she gets pregnant. Like really? With an Android? After that I was pretty much turned off.
The beginning of the book was super slow and confusing to me because of all the characters and the different stories. But the last part of the book was almost enough to make up for all the front loading in the beginning.
The relationship in this book did not build up. All of a sudden they had feelings for each other.
A bit too much angst for me. But under the circumstances, I guess I kind of get it. The book definitely had my heart pumping at the end. Suspense was real.
This book could have been everything. The premise was awesome and the love trope was everything that I love. The “It started out that way... but I really did fall in love with you in the end”- love it. But the characters left much to be desired. I didn't care about the first 60% of the book. Then everything happened in the last 40%. There was no real pacing in the book. If it would have been more spaced out with the timing of certain revelations, then it would have been a lot better. I'm so disappointed because it could have been everything I didn't know I needed....but it wasn't.
The connection between the two characters was awesome. The premise of the book was also interesting, how the two main characters knew each other for years as pen pals.
Very odd book. I kind of figured it out at the end. But it wasn't what I expected in the book.
