I do think this book contains valuable information regarding ADHD, the symptoms, the problems it causes, and it's effects on day to day life. I would even recommend people who do not have ADHD read at least “Step Four” since i think the strategies listed for coping with the disorder would actually be beneficial to anyone.
The reason for the lower score, however, is that I feel like for a book for and about people with ADHD it is not written in a way that helps the reader focus. It took me a while to finish it because it felt like it dragged on and it was incredibly difficult to pay attention. The later half of the book kept my attention better, but that might also be because i had to employ the help of the audiobook and Immersion read (read the book and listen to it at the same time).
Bottom line, i would recommend this book to others, both if you suffer from ADHD or not, but be aware that you might have some difficulty with paying attention the whole way through.
even if you're not looking to incorporate mind maps into your day to day life and your projects (or never thought to do so), i would still wholeheartedly recommend this book as all of the advice given and information provided was still interesting to read about. I'm still unsure whether this book convinced me to use mind maps or not, but i still feel like i left this book more knowledgeable then when i started it.
it was a quick and fun read, but i do think i prefer the plethora of movie and video game adaptations over the original novels. i expected the more from the descriptions of wonderland, but they felt a little dull when compared to the imagery in other “alice in wonderland” media.
i prefer the first book, “Alice's adventures in wonderland”, over the second one.

long story short, i rage quit
the concept is cool, but the actual execution is lacking big time. i hated every pirate related chapter. they got so drawn out and uninteresting i just started skipping them when they came up. the only thing that kept me engaged was the puzzle element. i enjoyed finding all the hidden words and seeing sentences form. but all of my hopes and dreams shattered when I wanted to check how many pages the book has...and the answer to the puzzle was at the end....i can't do it anymore, I'm too angry
i had forgotten what the book was supposed to be about so I definitely did not expect all the ghosts. they were welcome though.
that being said, i want to crawl into this book. it was phenomenal. i threw it across the room a few times, had to take laps once or twice, screamed.
why isn't the second book coming out today?? i need it this instant. 2023 is too far away
the pov of the girl was leagues better, as i struggled to even tolerate the guy's. kind of boring and as you can see, i don't even remember the character's names (if they were even mentioned). not sure if we were supposed to like the male character since he is the main love interest, but i could barely stand him. i did not like any of the men in the book now that I think about it. however, it did a good job in putting you in the mind of an imperialistic japanese soldier, and if you're interested in history, you might find some enjoyment in this weirdo.
