Probably more accurately 2.5 stars

I loved the book, however I thought the whole sibling triangle thing as weird. I also loved Andrew, but thought Jack (and Ellie for that matter) was a little childish/immature so was definitely wanting more from him

Super dark for a kid book, but despite that it was phenomenal. My kids were begging me to read more daily. This was a hit

She has the wonderful ability to write emotional novels. I really wish we had gotten more of Vivien and Santo's story in the beginning of the book as I didn't feel much of a love connection between the two main characters until closer to the end

I wish there was more relationship development between Sophie and Benedict but I do love that there was a lot of background on both of the characters.

3.5 ⭐

This is the least atmospheric book of hers I've read. Almost cringe worthy at times.

I'm somewhere between 3.5 and 4 ⭐

4.5 ⭐

I was pleasantly surprised!

Honestly I am rating this low because I could just not convince myself to give any f***s about the Varine conflict

When Izzy's sister gave her the ring/dogtag and you learned what it meant it quite literally wrecked me. The rest of the book was okay before that, but that moment made the book

This likely would have been better for me personally if I grew up with more exposure to Julia Child or France and French cuisine. This very much romanticizes French everything.

This was adorable. Fans of Kiki's Delivery Service would love this one. I will definitely keep reading these.

This was okay, but something was missing. I would have loved it if a POV from Eleanor was included.

3.5 ⭐

I think I would have enjoyed this more a few years or more ago.

I just could not form any sort of a connection with the characters.

Also, Jimmy is an oaf. Why was I kind of hoping her and Billy would team up...

3.5⭐
Really enjoyed this one. Some parts of the book I felt like it jumped quickly. Chapters were longer than I would have liked

Less smut than the first book, but imo story was higher stakes or more messy

3.5 ⭐

This was super cringe but in a fun way!

There was so much going on in this book. Not sure it is possible to predict the ending. I'm excited to go into the second book with more of an understanding of what is going on

3.5 ⭐

I enjoyed this a lot but it reminded me of Every Summer After so much. I also couldn't get past the POVs – half the chapter was third person then it'd randomly switch to first.

This book is so stinking cute. I love the art and the fashion in it. I also find the message to be pretty powerful

4.5 ⭐ rounded up. Honestly the main reason for that is the super tropey ending(ish) and just how things played out after. Up until then it was so emotional and nuanced. The ending could have been part of any romance novel

I was not expecting this book to make me cry once let alone multiple times.
