These stories were sweet and lovely. I do have star ratings for most of the stories individually. I will come back to edit my review to add those ratings.
Over all gkkd
I will have a detailed eating and review for each story soon. It is going to take some time to write it all out.
Probably should have read this in high school but I was in AP so I didn't have to. Luckily at work I am paired with a student in her English class so I get to experience senior year again.
I've been reading this with the class so I have been getting to really dive into this play and dissect it. It has been a great play. I loved all the symbolism of the flowers (Nice touch Will!) and really embraced the way it was written.
Suspense, drama, symbolism and death.
I could not put this book down. It was the first book I read on my Nook. I really enjoyed how Lisa wrote. She kept me on the edge, turning the pages, and wanting to know more with every sentence. Superb!
This was so good. It gave me just enough information to entice me to keep going. The fact that Tyson read the audiobook himself helped a lot as well.
This was an absolute delight as the next installment for the Wayward Children. I loved getting more details about the twins, Jack and Jill. It really opened my eyes to their behavior in the first novel. I am certainly enjoying these quick novels on audiobook. I just hope my library will get the 5th book soon so I can listen to it as well.
This was a very strange book. I didn't really know what I was getting into when I got this book. Glad I read it though. It seems to have some mental health details because Steven, the narrator, seems to have a form of OCD and possibly something else. I was very annoyed by the writing because it came off that Steven was a lot younger than a sixth grader but he kept understanding things like a high school student would. It was bothersome throughout the entire novel.
This is a novel about how a young boy deals with his baby brother's issues that no one can seem to explain away. He has something congenitally wrong with him but by the end of the novel he gets ‘fixed' for now.
1996- Read to my third grade class during reading time after recess. Don't remember much about the book but I know we listen to Mrs. Doxsee read all the Roald Rahl books that year during reading time.
Absolutely great
This made me laugh out loud so many times I can't count. The people I think in the waiting room I was at were curious to what was so funny. Highly recommend.
Loved this book. Wished I had actually read it in high school. Truly magnificent writing. Can't wait to watch the film and maybe ready Go Set A Watchman.
I loved this graphic auto-biography. It was a different way to read about someone's life. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I really liked how Bechdel would add in diary entries for clarification of how she was able to know so much of the past, and when her diary was total bullshit. It was good, really really good.
I was excited to read this because it was recommended to me. I was so upset at the beginning because the novel goes back and forth. When i got to the end of the book I was thoroughly disappointed. I had just read a huge book for that, simple ending! Seriously? I guess the story was still ok though.
I absolutely loved this book. I loved the dynamic friendship that was created between the two main characters, even though one was an animal who couldn't talk. This was a great story that was actually about the environment and pollution. It made something complex seem so simple, especially for the minds of children. Can't wait to read more by A.S. King!
At first I thought this book was too easy for my son but he loved this. The rhymes were just enough right before bed. I loved the illustrations of the book too.
Would read to my son again.
Listened on audio.
This was not exactly what I was expecting. I am amazed at the amount of story there is in this short book. I really connected with Nancy and felt bad for her. Can't wait to listen to the next installment of the series.
another great installment for the series. I just want the rest of the comics now! I am debating subscribing to the comics so that I can have the story when it is published.
I loved this quaint story about A.J. Fikry. I love the plot and the story. Makes me want to pick up some more novels by the author!
