It was fine. Not as engaging as I expected and I definitely didn't listen closely enough to follow all the scientist names he used casually. In hindsight I probably should have read this one vs audio.

Definitely one of the better short stories in this collection but I think she's written better.

3.5 really, this one was structured well for the length

Surprised she wrote for the mystery series and not the romance one. It was a cute concept and wasn't hindered by the short length.

Fun concept

A fascinating look at one of America's first popular/well-publicized psychopathic killers. I'd never heard of him before. I enjoyed the comparisons to the more modern era serial killers to put the story in more context. The cultural & historical context was also critical to this story which was explained in an engaging way.

this one was a fun read. Definitely could of used more pages to get in to the story but I'd definitely read more from this author.

This was fun and I finished in one sitting. Loved the mix of Clue and Knives Out with a dash of romance.

They managed to fit in a lot of characters in a short amount of time and none of it felt rushed.

It was fine. It definitely felt rushed and there just wasn't time to flush out all the characters fully.

a classic mystery but with spies. low key loved the ‘report' at the end that summarized all the pieces that could have been worked out earlier in the story

Honestly, it was fine. I was hooked for the first like 1/3 of the book and then I just kinda lost interest. Conceptually it was cool, but the last act felt kinda meh.

Ok I fully did not understand 50% of the lore that happened in this book. It was paced simultaneously too slow and too fast. But I love the main characters and the extras at the end brought me back in.

wow this one caught me a little by surprise. I thought the disability rep was handled really well and the story was so touching, definitly recommend
