Absolutely one of the best written books I've read in a long time. One that will stay with me forever. My heart was aching the entire time I read the book...not only for Matt as he grieves but also for Maddy who will never know her mother. Tears will definitely be shed as you read this book!
Wow...I never thought I'd love a middle grade book as much as I loved this one. Definitely one my 11 year old daughter needs to read. I just loved how real Ivy's emotions were in this story. What a beautiful picture of a middle school girl figuring out who she is in the mist of a tragedy. This book made me smile, cry, and just love.
This book was so good! For anyone struggling with trying to fit God into their mornings this is a must read. For anyone struggling just to have a morning routine this is a must read. I was having a hard time remembering to have my time with God every day. Reading this made me realize that I don't need a whole 30 minutes or even 10. Lay said it's as simple as just repeating one verse each morning. I love how she says start small...3 minutes is all you need...God Plan Move!
I had read this book back when I was in high school and remember being so moved by this. Listening to the audiobook this time it was just as wonderful and emotional as I remember from the first time I read it. A must read for anyone to know what it was like to be in an internment camp during the Holocaust.
This was the first TJR book that I've read. Definitely a great story. I knew right from the start who I wanted Emma to choose in the end and I was happy that it turned out how I wanted it to. This book made me really think...do we only have one true love in our lives? Will definitely be reading more from this author.
This books was really good. I loved the atmosphere of the school and how even though the characters were teens it didn't feel like a YA story. The twist at the end was really shocking and something I didn't predict at all. Definitely recommend this book!
This book was okay. Nothing spectacular but not horrible either. It was cute for a middle grade book. Probably would have loved it more if I read it when I was younger. Looking forward to watching the movie to see if I like that more than the book.
Absolutely loved this book! Elin does not disappoint as usual. I loved how she added a bit of mystery to this book as well. The ending totally surprised me and made the book go from almost being a 3 star to a 5. If you are a fan of Elon's past books you won't be disappointed with this one!
I went into this book after loving David Yoon's last book Version Zero. I found this one was a lot harder to get into than his other book since the plot and writing style were very different than anything I have read before. I just wasn't sure if this book was for me. I'm still not sure after reading this book if this is an author for me. I think I would have to read one more to see if I want to continue reading his books or not.
I thought I had this book figured out from the beginning but it totally surprised me in the end. Great book!
Ugh...this would have been a five star book...but that ending....either it should have ended differently or it should have gone in a little more past where it ended. Overall this was a super quick, keep me on the edge of my seat book. Definitely one I'd recommend if you like YA thrillers.
What a wonderful story about figuring out who you are. I smiled, I laughed, I cried. Such a powerful book for our time. I absolutely adored this book and would recommend everyone read this book. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Went into this book not knowing if I was going to like it or not since this is a genre I don't typically read. It was hard to get into at first but once I got to the end of the first part it started to pick up. I really enjoyed it after that. I probably would have given it 4 stars, but I didn't really like what happened at the end. I wish they would have let the characters stay together somehow. Overall it was enjoyable.
This book was one I was highly anticipating and I was grateful to get a copy from Edelweiss to review. I absolutely loved this story. The twist at the end was great and totally unexpected. Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who like a good thriller with a strained mother/daughter relationship. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
Good story about a new mother and her babysitter and the friendship they form. Not much else to say.
Oh my heart....I literally had all the feels when reading this book. So many tears! This was such a wonderful story about a love that got away and then was found again. I felt every emotion for these characters. Definitely will be reading more from this author!
Loved this book. I loved how the author made me think so many different things were going to happen - and then the twist at the end was totally unexpected! Definitely recommend if you like books that are fast paced and keep you on the edge of your seat.
I had high hopes for this book based on giving Tessa Bailey's book before this 4 stars. Perhaps I would have liked this more if I had read it physically instead of listening to it on audio. I found it a little difficult to connect with the characters and it was a little predictable. Overall it wasn't horrible, just not as good as the last one I read by this author.
I received this ARC from the publisher and was immediately intrigued by this book. It sounded like something I was excited to be reading. At first it was slow to get into it and I almost put it down and didn't finish it. I figured I would give it a bit more before I decided to DNF this book. It picked up quite a bit and got really interesting. I loved following along as Claire followed Clive in the city. I loved seeing how they started to form a friendship. The only thing I didn't like about this book was that it jumped around quite a bit from the past to the present and also to different peoples perspectives. Overall this was a good book. Not sure if I would actually recommend this book to others, but it wasn't completely horrible.
What a ride this book was! I really enjoyed this book. Right from the minute I picked it up I was hooked and couldn't put it down. It was really good and was almost a 5 star book, however I felt like the last 150 pages of so were a bit weird. I felt like it the story could have been told just as well with a bit less pages. Overall it was a creepy book that kept me on the edge of my seat for most of the book. Looking forward to more books like this from this author!
This was my first Colleen Hoover read and it definitely didn't disappoint! From the first page I was hooked. I wasn't expecting it to end the way it did.id highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a good psychological thriller with a little romance built in!
