I've seen some plays and movies with the same basic plot, and I have always really enjoyed it.
And this one immediately tells you how it will end, so you just need to get there, and even knowing, i cried to the point i couldn't see the pages at the end.
As good as it was, it made me realize why I read mostly contemporary romance with happy endings.
I had high expectations for this book and they weren't met.
The main character came off as neurodivergent, although that wasn't really addressed. I can decide if that was the author's intention, or if they just meant to have a slightly quirky character.
The story was fine. But the characters, main and secondary, didn't sit right with me.
I was almost uncomfortable reading it, and my favorite part was just when people treated Molly with the respect everyone deserves.

This is the hardest Dark Olympus book to get into for me. I didn't love any of the characters like I have in previous books.
I wanted more from the book that featured Aphrodite.
The plot didn't intrigue me as much as the previous books. The spice was good, not great, and polyamorous tropes aren't really my thing.
I'm not sad I read it, but I won't reread it at any point.
I've got mixed emotions on this one.
I really liked the FMC and MMC, and the plot wasn't really terrible, but it felt, cheesy maybe. Something about it didn't click for me.
After reading the first two chapters, I didn't think I was going to finish it, but I switched the the audiobook, and I found that a more enjoyable experience.
Overall, I'm not sad I read it. I think maybe the vague magical creatures aren't my thing, I like the typical creatures, like vampires and witches. Because even with all the descriptions, I find it difficult to bring the more abstract beings to life in my head.
Also, new kink unlocked - really enjoyed his term of endearment - little witch.
This book was everything I expected and hoped it would be.
I loved the main and side characters, I like the basic plot and I loved the banter between the two main characters.
Were there issues with some of it, did I dislike the conflict, of course, however, even with that, I loved the book. Such a fun, engaging read.

I thought this would be a 5 star read for me. I wanted it to be a 5 star read, but something didn't click for me.
It felt unnecessary long. It had good characters and some things I really enjoyed and ended strong. The last chapter was great. But the parts I didn't enjoy lead to a rating of 3.5
The book does do good job with mental health issues, especially anxiety, in my opinion.

There were parts of this book I really enjoyed but more that were just okay.
It seemed a little too focused on the academia hierarchy than I was expecting and it felt long to me.
The characters were okay. Some good banter. But I feel like I wanted more of the parts that were glossed over (like her job at Faux) and less focus on the education politics.
If you are into academia/stem this is probably a must read for you.

As I go into books blind, I didn't know this was basically a reimagining of When Harry Met Sally. I really enjoyed the banter and such, but didn't love the characters as much as I would hope.
Also, there was something about the writing style that made it feel a little longer than it was.
Overall, good story, good banter, characters are missing something I can't place and I think it could have been slightly shorter.
Update - I was driving to dinner a few days after reading this book and I started thinking about it... I really liked that bad timing was the issue, and not one of the typical misunderstandings that plague rom coms

A good read. Giving final destination/Peter Swanson vibes.
Megan Miranda is a must buy for me, as I like her writing style and story telling.
This book isn't groundbreaking but it is an enjoyable book that you really want to get to the end of, so you can see the puzzle pieces fit together.
Well, I go into books blind and has no idea what this one was about, but I absolutely loved it.
They say Tia wrote about want and love and relationships of all sorts was wonderful and she drew you in.
It was so easy to visualize this, as a movie in my mind as I read. The characters are so vibrant and you want them all to find a happy ending.
I loved this book. It was everything I wanted.
5 star, critic darling, no.
Awarding winning, probably not.
But I have enjoyed all of the Dark Olympics books, and this was my favorite one yet. I find there has been more plot in the later books, which I enjoy. The spice was so good. I liked the characters. What more could I ask for.
