First of all: the gods really need a spanking on there behinds! They are like spoiled little childeren having a tantrum, for me Rick didn't grasped the essence of the gods.
I have been growing up with the gods from Xena the Warrior Princess, so I have a total different image in my head of Ares, who is played by Kevin Smith (bless his soul), and Hades. In the Lightingthief I didn't feel the danger from the gods.
I liked the story overall, with a couple of issues, and I am definitely going continue with the serie after I buy the ten books. Maybe I will learn something new about the gods in the Sea of Monsters. I hope that the goddesses coming in that one, like: Selena, Artemis and Persephone.

I liked this book, but there is something chanced in my brain because with some parts Morgan begins to annoy me.
I have always liked Morgan in the past, I guese when you get older you will see more things that you didnt earlier

I didnt like it much. To me was the quit boring.

I give this book 3,5 stars.
In the beginning I had a couple of issues with Kate, she was annoying. But overall I did enjoy this book.

The story was slow but it didn't bother me, I never felt bored. It was a good first crime novel I read.
I highly recommend to read this book, most chapters are sort if the size scares you.
