Help, where did that sudden kink for Red Riding Hood suddenly come from?

I have been so conflicted about this book for quite some time. On the one hand I really liked it. On the other hand I had some issues with some of the aspects and things that happened in the book.

i loved this book so much. i started reading it somewhere before my exams so i didn't have time to read further in it, but now i finished it in 4 days because it's just this good! i really didn't expect how the end would turn out, but i really liked the book as it all made perfect sense.

william traynor deserved better.

i always loved the movies, but never really found the time to read the book(s). but i did now and i like the book even better than the movies, it has such a good story behind it and it was written so good.

Het is lang geleden dat een verhaal me zo heeft aangegrepen. Sy slaagt erin om de lezer enorm te laten meeleven met het verhaal. Als lezer volg je op de voet hoe mensen zichzelf ontwikkelen en hoe vriendschappen ontstaan in de wrede oorlog. De personages zijn allemaal enorm goed uitgewerkt, waardoor je dubbel zo hard meevoelt met iedereen. Het is moeilijk om je in te beelden hoe het was om te leven in de oorlog, maar door dit boek krijg je pijnlijk hard een idee hoe het geweest moet zijn. Hoe pijnlijk het ook was om sommige stukken te lezen, ik denk wel dat het belangrijk is om er bewustzijn van te verspreiden.

Dit is een boek dat lang blijft nazinderen. Zelfs als ik het boek niet aan het lezen was, dacht ik vaak aan de personages en wat ze meemaakten. Ik kreeg het verhaal niet uit m'n hoofd en werd er echt door gegrepen. Als je je realiseert dat al deze dingen echt gebeurd zijn, is het zelfs huiveringwekkend.

This journal is absolutely so so good. Throughout reading it, I thought: “Oh, I really want to gift this book to x and y”.

Devine handles grief so well and gives a clear and supporting explanation on what you can do to cope with grief. You have to live with grief, not overcome it.

This book/journal has such a powerful message and I'll be sure to buy it for myself and some friends who have had to face with grief once it publishes!

Een leuk boek om tussendoor te lezen. ☺️

This book taught me a lot more about climate change than what I already knew. It was so interesting to read the consequences,... about climate change in such an easy to understand context. The tips given at the end of the book (#MyClimateAction) were really useful and I definitely will take a look in making my life more sustainable.

I recognized myself in a lot of these poems. This was truly written from the heart and the poems really hit me. I loved reading this book. It was a book with which you just had to take your time to read the poems.
