See allOOOOMMMGGG this was soo great, like wooooww!!! My first Marie Lu book and I LOVED it. i don't know why so many people hate Adelina, or atleast i think they hate her. I think she's awesome, even though she's kinda bad, but still totally good. I don't know why, but she kinda reminded me of Rengar (League of Legends), he's a cat-preadator thingy and Adelina's a human, but still. kinda the same right? yes? no? okay...
However this book was amazing, must read if you haven't read it yet!!
Holy shit i loved this book. I went into this book knowing absolutely nothing about it and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I just loooovveed the plot, at first I thought “wow this is amazing, this can't get any better, right, right??” Wrong. The story went into some place I did not expect it to go and it was amazing. Can't wait to start reading the sequels. Did I already mention that I love this book?
so this book was really disappoiniting. i think it's safe to say that i'm not the only one who expected something more.. dranatic maybe or just something more nerve wracking. but the reason i mainly disliked the book was, that the depressed little girl, yes i even forgot her name, was being such a pain in the ass. how could you get so depressed by little things like she did. it just didn't make sense and made the book unenjoyable. but of course, this is just my opinion.
I took forever to read this book. So the thing about this book is.. It's really dull. Well yes the expectations were really high, which did not help. The plot itself was really underwhelming, and when finally it gotten a wee bit interesting the book was already finished. Like literally the last 5 pages??
The writing was not doing me any favors either, as it consisted mostly of dialogue and didn't give the book any depth.
Wow! It was soo hard for me to put this book down. I kinda wish that there was more of it to read. But I'm really happy about it. It was better than I actually expected it to be. The rose society was much darker than the young elites, but exactly those dark moments were the ones who forced me to read more and more and to never put it down. I'm really hoping for a third book, because I'd loved to see how it continues (actually I'm also kinda scared of what will happen).
Anyway, I recommend this book to any fan of fantasy, who also likes to follow the story of a villain. But I must say, this is one of those villains who everybody loves... and fears.
