John Cory is probably the worst detective of all time, he's so busy throwing one liners and comment on fellow detectives nice arses that he totally forgets how to actually do any police work. i seldom feel killing of my protagonist would be a great idea, but in this case i kept my hopes high. he is a complete arsehole
So sexist it hurts my eyes, and thats a shame because the story is kind of interesting and suspenseful
My one star rating may seem low and perhaps it is, but i was so provoced by the writing so any higher would be impossible.

Well reread this for the first time since teenage. I loe mr Kings books to 80%. They are fantastic upuntil the end when everyhing gets strange
Sorry to say i didnt like this at all. Way to much dialog to move the story forward. That is not my favourite way.
Im sorry to say i did not like the third book in the series, the rating is based on the series as a whole. The second book was by far the best
More or less a modern classic, read it for the first time in thirty years and it still holds up.
I enjoyed the book but was disturbed by the likness to Dan Simmons The Terror. A far better and more interesting novel
sorry if i rain on your parade. this was just not my kind of a bag. its not bad, its wellwritten and have a fantastic neverending set of characters. but im left without investing in any of them. There is way to much feeling for my taste
6/10
I'm ambivalent, partly a book of geniuses and partly way over the top. Did not like the ending
