I actually enjoyed the two prequal books, American Assassin and Kill shot. They focused on the characters and their motivations, this shitty written book is just all American flagwaving at it's worst. The women in the book is asked to sit safe and “look beutiful” and the terrorists are more caricature than actually scary. And hey! I really don't care if a silencer supress 60% of the sound from a sniper rifle
So incredibly well written, with a fantastic dialog where every character has a voice of it's own. Surprisingly creepy after all these years
Started out on top, i mean as a Swede it's hard not not love the fact that Gustav II Adolf plays a important role in 1632.
But after a time the book turns into a tiersome explanation of weapons and in a good american way the solution and aswer to a strange situation is: WAR
Fantastic first start to this family chronicle. Love, hate, adventure and a bit of history. Couldn't be better.
Dont really know what to think about Armada, where Ready player one was innovative, exciting and great fun, Armada is...Great fun? Its a sort of guily pleasure for me. There are more cliches and plotholes in this book than there are pages, but somehow i can swollow that becasue i want to turn page. But is it great? NO NO NO
Loved the first act (The one in the mines), wasn't prepared for the second one and hated it for starters. But it slowly grow on me and the final act was really good. Will read the next book.
Over-the-top ridiculous, gets worse and worse the longer you get. Still i couldn't put it down, guess thats something
As all Michener books i read so far; fantastic books that i adore but when about 100 pages remains i have a hard time keeping up my focus
Rothfuss is a fantastic storyteller, but is this tale getting anywhere? Gets the feeling the author has so many things to tell he tends to forget the main story. On the other hand this may very well be one of the best world-magic-creations in fantasy history
I was not really on par with this one i'm sorry to say. Far to many points where the author got me lost.
En märklig läsupplevelse, jag är aldrig säker på vad jag läser men det finns ingenting som kan stoppa mig från att fortsätta. Nu blir det del 2
the Mitch Rapp series has become one of my guilt pleasures. Over the top violent but charming and belivable
A masterclass in writing. Thank you. Everyone envolved in Toxic fandom should read this
Not as bad as my rating, i just couldn't grasp the story and i never learned to love nor hate the characters. I listned to the audiobook, perhaps that was part of the problem, maybe to complex and versatile story to listen to when comuting?
4/10
