I wanted to love this book—I really did—but Celia was giving me whiplash with all that back-and-forth, and I could not for the life of me like her even just a little bit. I was mostly confused throughout the book. I felt like I was missing something, which may have been what caused me to be so “bleh” about it. I enjoyed the writing and the spice was so good. I will not forgive Celia for what she did to Rage and I’m looking forward to the next book to see how she’s “dealt” with, also I need more Thanatos.
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄: This book ends on a cliffhanger.

This book follows Daria and Lorenzo and let me just say that I was not Daria’s biggest fan in the beginning… she’s 24 but seemed so juvenile and still she wasn’t my least favorite character. Her sister Orietta was the worst! Lorenzo, however, I loved him. For someone who claimed he wasn’t marrying for love he sure didn’t show it and I loved every minute of it. Stefano was such a nice brother in law although it kind of irked me that he kept playing devil’s advocate after what Daria did before her wedding. The main thing I didn’t like about this book was the constant topic of cheating, I feel like every other conversation that was had between the MCs was him reassuring her that he wasn’t going to cheat on her AFTER WHAT SHE DID BEFORE THEIR WEDDING, other than that it was a pretty entertaining read. This is the second book in the series but I did not feel lost by skipping the first though now I want to go back and read it.

I truly wanted to like this book and I enjoyed bits of it but just some things did not add up. Nix losing control of her magic all the time was getting a bit old. Gin being told to stay inside after the spell and failing to do so was ridiculous. The whole building a campaign in less than a day was kind of insane but to each their own. I did like how supportive Gin’s dad was about the campaign once he knew his reason for wanting to run for "the highest office he can get elected to besides president" and I did like how badass Nix was towards the end. I loved Rosie and Oz though, they could be my favorite characters.

I was a bit entertained at the beginning of this book and then after Lacey was introduced and the whole Hayden being hunted kind of just lost me a little bit. I was listening to the audiobook and at times I’d be a bit lost in between POVs. I honestly wish I would’ve liked it more than I did.

He’s an undercover Interpol agent, she’s an executive assistant. They’re both warned to stay away from each other though neither of them listen.
I can’t tell which boyfriend is my favorite in this trilogy, they’re all so good, so protective. Loved this book, the twist about 85% into the book was *mind blowing*. There is a surprise pregnancy and I appreciated that it did not become the FMC’s entire personality after finding out but I hated Tristan’s reaction though it was to be expected considering they had established that Lucia was on the pill. I liked Lucia for the most part but there were parts where I found her annoying–for lack of a better word. The book is easy to read, and it has just the right amount of suspense as well as the previous books in the trilogy. This is the third book and can be read as a standalone but if you’d like to read in order start with Stolen Beauty.

This is the first book of The Vendi Chronicles. I don’t know what I was expecting but I quite enjoyed this book. I love a book with great world building and this book certainly had that. I felt so bad for Aliyah for what she had to endure. I am beyond ready to jump into the second book after that ending, I’m super excited to see how the story continues.

This was an interesting book for me, each chapter was a different POV with different stories, the common denominator, a woman who works with professionals (cops, social workers, etc) and decides to take matters into her own hands to get rid of everything that’s wrong with the world, to her those are drug addicts, alcoholics and abusive partners. I always enjoy a good book that gets the brain going, I loved trying to guess who “Her” was. If you like a thought provoking book then this is the one for you. I can’t wait to get to the second book.
Side note: Marie sure knows how to pick them…. First an abusive husband and then his pedophile “bestie.” Though the way they judged her as if she were the one molesting her children didn’t sit right with me. Everyone in this book was incredibly judgy, they were throwing stones as if their homes weren’t made of glass as well. Overall it was a good and entertaining read.

I don’t care what Sly’s crime was, I will not tolerate Sly slander. He stood on business, and I was here for it. Vinnie though, she was pissing me off. I get it she didn’t want any harm to come to Sly but girl he is a grown 🍑 man and could take care of himself if you warn him but she chose to suffer in silence and give her life for his. Last book I thought for sure that one of her friends had told August and here I am, proven absolutely wrong. Those girls were true friends to Vinnie and it was great to read it.
I got beef with the entire Paladino family, except for maybe Luciano, he was always in Vinnie’s corner unlike her unhinged brother Joseph. I was not satisfied nearly enough with August & Joseph’s ending. I needed them to go through a lot more hell than they caused Vinnie because that girl didn’t deserve any of it… with a brother like Joseph, who needs enemies?

What. A. Great. Book! And an even greater way to start reading from a new author! This book was so captivating I couldn’t put it down. If I could rate this 10 ⭐️ I definitely would.
Sabine really played tf out of all of us, or was it just me & Dagmara? And poor Claude, I really thought he was out to get Madga/Dagmara and he really had no clue wth was going on.
“𝑰 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕, 𝑫𝒂𝒈𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒂, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕. 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍.” 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭. “𝑰 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒕. 𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐?”
I really felt for him in that moment, the heartbreak he must’ve felt when Dagmara told him the truth 😭😭😭. My poor baby, but I truly hope that he forgives both the girls and I hope he stays with Dagmara just so Magdalena can stay with Ravi.
The questions I had while reading this were somewhat answered but now I have more questions… who is communicating with Magda (I might know who but I need this confirmed)? How are they communicating with her? What exactly is all of Madga’s abilities? What was that conversation Claude had with Annette about if he wasn’t the one that ordered the assassination of Magda’s family? Hope, Amanda, I need answers!

This book follows Sloane, she works in a research facility and she turns out to be missing except when her sister Sage goes to Sloane’s boss about her lack of communication and she finds out that Sloane sent in an email resigning from her job. There was only one problem, Sloane didn’t send any email and she loved her job. Her sister informs her boyfriend of her sister missing and he along with Max work on finding and rescuing her.
This is book five but I did not feel like I missed anything by skipping the first four, however this book was so good I do want to go back and read those. I’m a first time reader of Isabel and let me tell you, I don’t regret a single moment. This book kept me on my toes, I was trying to guess who the bad guy was at almost every turn and lord knows how I love books that keep me guessing. I loved Max, when he was first introduced you would think that he’s a grumpy individual but he turns out to be such a cutie who just happened to be hurt in his past relationship. I need the next book already and you should definitely give this book a try.

I loved Max, when he was first introduced you would think that he’s a grumpy individual but he turns out to be such a cutie who just happened to be hurt in his past relationship. I need the next book already and you should definitely give this book a try.

I’m going to start by saying the people I hated… Dane, I hated his guts. He was so ugh and who says “she’s in my acting class, what do you want me to say?” to their girlfriend, someone they spoke about marriage to? Disgusting behavior but moving on. Ava & Deacon… They were both disgusting trying to force James’ hand. You would think someone’s father (Deacon) would want the best and all the happiness in the world for their child but nooooo, he only cares about fame and publicity.
Now, James & Kat, I absolutely loved them together. I loved how Kat stood up for herself when it came to the contract James was required to sign, she deserved better and I am glad that she realized that unlike when she was with her ex, she seemed so insecure with him and it was amazing to see how different she was from the beginning of the book to the end of the book.
I truly appreciated the panic attack scene and how James was able to help her through it. It was written beautifully and so realistically as well (although that could just be the case for me as my partner is my anchor when I suffer from panic attacks). This in general was such a cute read, I was unable to put it down once I picked it up (until I got sick and had no choice but to put it down) and I wish I could read it again for the first time.

Short read but I have high hopes for book 3. I really need to know what happens to Malcolm, there’s no way that he can do everything he did in book 1 and not pay for it. Carrie should’ve known the kind of man he was when she met him. He is a divorce attorney and is cheating on his wife with the story that “everything is shit at home” after that he wouldn’t have even been an option. If Jackson doesn’t make him regret his entire existence, I’m going to be very upset.

This will definitely have you feeling a bit off because the MMC was married to the FMC’s mother and he spent the last 4 years taking care of her (the FMC who is now 18 years old), but I’m a sucker for stepfather x stepdaughter so let’s see how this goes. How it went from fatherly love to “I want to fuck your brains out” is beyond me but I am excited for their full-length book.

Oh lord, I don’t know what I was expecting when I got into this book. Xavier is one sick individual but his father, uff. And to think I was on his side when I read the prequel, I thought for sure he no longer wanted his wife because of her attitude but turns out that man was worse than I thought. Kaye got on my nerves when she was defending her mother, acting like her mother wasn’t to blame for a wrecked home, like she didn’t know that the man was married. I’m glad to see the growth in Xavier though, he realized his father wasn’t as good as he thought he was and owned up to his issues and mistakes when it came to Kaye’s mother and his hatred towards her. This book does have the surprise pregnancy trope (surprise to the FMC not so much to the MMC) but it is more towards the end of the book. If you want a book that will have you questioning your morals and saying “wtf did I just read?” a couple times throughout the book, then this is it.

“It’s normal to have a midlife crisis, but you don’t marry the fucking crisis” - Xavier McCade
𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 ↴
This prequel is set 3 years BEFORE Cruel Intentions and it starts off with Xavier’s father being a cheating bastard (doesn’t actually describe him cheating but he cheated) and leaving his wife for his mistress. Now I didn’t know how to react to it because some of the words coming out of Victoria’s mouth (the wife) had me saying “see this is why he’s leaving you”... Who threatens their child with killing them if they decide to move in with their father and the girlfriend? Victoria, that’s who. At this point I don’t like either of his parents, when/if you read this one you’ll understand why I can’t stand either of them.
Though this was a very quick read–about 35 pages–it sure had my mouth gaping open every time Xavier opened his mouth. The shit that came out of that man’s mouth is crazy and to a 15 year old? INSANE. But hey, I never said I didn’t like insane so let’s see where this series takes us, shall we?

WTF is that ending?! Respectfully! I’m absolutely in love with this book, with every single scene that involved Sly & Vinnie. I was all for the secrecy, loving it in fact but I was also impatiently waiting for one of them to say that they wanted everyone to know about them. I will say that Sly is obviously my favorite character and my favorite thing about him, he is a pleasure dom and I LOVE HIM FOR IT. It goes without saying that my least favorite characters are Joseph (Vinnie’s brother and tormentor) and August, Joseph’s friend and a total creep. They could both get hit by a 🚌 and I would dance and spit on their 🪦 after I was done. They deserve the worst ending possible in my opinion. Now that ending… wtf. was. that? I was ready for their happily ever after and all I got was a cliffhanger. I need to know who spilled their secret although I have someone in mind, and I am so ready to find out if my suspicions are correct so with that being said I needed the second book like yesterday. I have a couple of other books by A.R. in my kindle library but have yet to get around to them. I am so glad that I started with this masterpiece. Excellent writing.

To me there’s just something about a man that loves a kid as if they were his own that gets me hooked on the single mom trope and I don’t even have kids!
If you saw me say that Chance was my favorite in this series, no you didn’t. I take it all back because I didn’t know Luke was the way he was, that man had the kitty purring–ifykyk. I loved Jade as well. She was such a badass. Honestly she has to be one of my favorite characters in the series. As always I loved the group dynamic, the way they protect each other with no hesitation. Valentina, did you have to do that to Tyler? Poor Mila didn’t deserve that. Now I need Tyler’s book, I need to know what happens with him and Giovanna. I was hooked on this book, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I was super excited to read this one because I absolutely loved the first book and this one was no different. Stacy’s writing is amazing, she has a way of making you fall in love with these characters, truly amazing. I thought I loved Ian Knight but that’s only because I hadn’t gotten to Chance’s book yet. I am a total sucker for Dominant book boyfriends and Chance was definitely Dominant. Amber was getting on my nerves, that's for sure. The man was drugged and she’s worried about him supposedly penetrating another woman even when she was told that he didn’t. The women he was with didn’t even make it past the front door and she insists that the man had sex with someone else. The spice though, the spice was amazing I’ll tell you that. I was hooked to this book from the very beginning, their troubles with the new head of the Mussolini family made it so entertaining. I definitely recommend this book.

“I don’t share what’s mine, Rowan.” He kissed up the side of my neck to my ear, sucking the lobe before he added, “Which means there isn’t a motherfucker in this world who’s going to see what’s underneath that dress. That’s only for me.” – Cooper Spade
First book I’ve read by Marni and I want to read more. The spice was amazing, the writing was immaculate. This book follows Rowan & Cooper. The Spades (Cooper & his family) have always been in competition with the Coles (Rowan and her family) so when Cooper meets Rowan she withholds her last name for obvious reasons. That night turned into them needing each other more than they expected. When Cooper’s uncle and Rowan’s father decide to merge their companies Cooper doesn’t take the news of Rowan being a Cole very well and refuses to ever touch her again. Did he keep his word when he said he wouldn’t touch her again? Absolutely not. Did I mind it at all? Fuck no. I don’t think there was anything that I didn’t like about this book, not even the accidental pregnancy. The book was just that good, I was hooked from the very beginning and I definitely recommend it.
𝑫𝑰𝑺𝑪𝑳𝑨𝑰𝑴𝑬𝑹: As always, although this is an E-ARC, my thoughts are my own and this is my honest review. Thank you to Marni Mann and Valentine PR for the ARC opportunity.

“Not my circus. Not my monkey.”
Quick confession, I say this way too many times a day.
This isn’t my first Corinne Michaels book but it is the first of the series. The book follows Charlotte and Rowan, Charlotte hates Rowan because he is the ex that broke her sister’s heart and ran her off to New York. They are also neighbors with competing farms and they both want the same project and Charlotte not only wants it, she needs it to save her family’s farm. Rowan is a hell of a man, and I can’t fault her for falling for the man after he’s come to her rescue. One night in a cabin was all that was needed for them to push that hatred aside. I loved Rowan, he was perfect in my eyes. I absolutely hated Aurora, nothing would ever change my mind about that woman. The lies and the accusations were insane. I did think that at one point Charlotte was doing too much, I was like “woman let the man help you save your farm damn it!” The book was well written, I enjoy my fair share of Corinne books. Overall it was a fun read for me and I would definitely recommend it.

“To every woman who has ever been with a guy who made you feel like less… F*** him. You’re the tits.”
This was a cute read although I do need to go back and read the first two books. I loved the banter, I loved the friend group, I especially loved the conversation the MCs had to have with the FMC’s kids after they left their clothes in the kitchen the night before. I read one book and I’m already invested, I gotta find out what Simon’s deal is.
