I absolutely loved this book! An amazing second chance romance about Mia and Hunter!
I could sense that even after Mia breaking off their engagement, both her and Hunter still had some hidden feeling for one another!
It's the 90's and Carly Cooper single and looking for the one! But What If she let the one get away! With the new millennium round the corner, she's travelling the world (and getting herself into a huge credit card debt) to rekindle romance with the different ex fiances she walked out on, trying to find the one.But What If the one was right in front of her very eyes.
I absolutely loved the first book; The Cheat Sheet, so I had really had high hopes for this one. And OMG did I love it!
Nora has been given her first ever client to represent it is none other than the ex-boyfriend Derek. Derek is obviously not too happy with the news when he finds out but makes Nora job harder than it should be so that she quit. Whilst making up the contract Derek and Nora make up a bunch of rules (these obviously get broken along the way). Nora however, starts scheming as well which they and she books him a photoshoot is Las Vegas, during a night out Derek fires Nora as he can't work with someone that he still loves, however, they both get drunk and married. They realisation when they find out what had happened. And obviously they both play along pretending to happily married, during the Las Vegas trip. But the true feelings show even after the trip
I was actually crying, and laughing. I loved it.
Love love loved this book. It was so good. I could totally relate to what was happening in the book. I was throughout the entire book!
The storyline was amazing!
OMG! That ending was so unexpected, the fact that it was Gem and Cormac (Kat's dad) that was behind everything. I did have a feeling that it was Cormac but Gem...Gem!??!? (with the slight help for Liam dad). Gem being behind the whole thing was so unexpected. And the fact that Annaslise knew her necklace was going to be stolen.
The lie, deceit, OMG!!!!
Carly has a successful business running Carly Cupcake on Whitsborough Bay. Learning that her childhood best friend/crush, Liam and his girlfriend are moving in together. Carly decides to stop gushing over Liam and move on. Alongside moving on, Carly's sister Bethany, is working alongside Carly, but unlike Carly, she's not the best cake decorators, but has got amazing customer service skills. Carly is trying her best to show Bethany there are many positives in life. One of which is Bethany getting married. However, Bethany is always looking at the negatives in life. We soon learn that Liam is single and will be back in Whitsborough Bay for Christmas. As Christmas is coming so is the day of Bethany and Joshua big day. But Bethany walks out (not only from her relationship but also the family) because she feels useless with everything she does. Every time Liam and Carly have a moment, something comes up. Stories from the past, with the help of Liam, they found Bethany. Bethany opens up and talks about having panic attacks because of something happening that happened at previous job. Carly, unfortunately not talk about her feelings towards Liam as she always feared the worst; what if the feeling were not reciprocated, will they still be friends if it wasn't? We find out that the Liam had has feeling towards Carly, but like Carly he also feared the worst and therefore left to join the army. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder. Favourite Quotes: “...as though we were two jigsaw pieces that had been designed to fit together and had finally been united.” “...we were beginning to think we'd have to bang your heads together.” “...he'll be gutted that he lost the bet and I get to choose the next 5 Netflix films. I feel a serious dose of rom-coms coming on.”
From the beginning I already hated Charlie. His girlfriend Willow has just celebrated her 30th birthday and they have been together for a while and is wanting Charlie to ask the big question. However, in Willow case he doesn't...he just continuously cheats on her since they have been together. He is total douchebag and idiot. Willow on the other hand is too forgiving.
Charlie is having an affair with someone under the alias “Kev” (which Willow does not know about.) What annoyed me is that Charlie just could not end the affair and “Kev” just took the piss, happily going along with the affair. And Willow believing Charlie every time he said he was working late or having to travel for work.
I kind of figured out who Kev was as the story went along. The fact that “Kev” could do that to Willow was absolutely shocking. Ben as a whole was not it, the fact the he would rather save a friendship than tell his best friend girlfriend that she was being cheated on.
It was too long of a listen, the blurb was the reason why I wanted to read it; however, it just was not it. The fact that pretty much everyone she knew (Emma, Ben and Anna), knew Charlie was having cheating on her and rather than tell her straight giving her clues to finding out about what Charlie was up to. The ending was quite amusing... Willow ending up with the son of Charlie mistress (Emma and Noah's mum). Willow really said my best friend brother is the one. And it turns out her Charlie isn't going anywhere (he's her new father-in law).
Vivian grandmother has recently retired from being a private investigator and received a phone call about a missing husband (Phillip) and baby. As Vivian grandmother has retired, Vivian decides she going to take on this case.
I figured out from the start who killed Phillip, and with her being in contact with her ex, I put two and two together and it confirmed my speculation about everything.
The storyline was really good, as well as the narrators.
3.75 I enjoyed this, but it was an okay book. Emma is the eldest of five sisters. She is the only one that's single, her four younger sisters are married or about to be. This story not only followed Emma but also had other plot lines. Bridgit is about to get married to her fiancé, Paulo. Her best friend Cooper is back in town. Cooper has had a lifelong crush on Bridgit from the day the day they met, but never had the guts to say anything as Bridgit was in a committed relationship. Emma signs up for a compatibility test to be married at first sight (which is being run by Bridgit and Cooper). The guy at the other end of the aisle...Cooper. However, Emma is crushing on Cooper best friend and roommate, having met before the wedding night. As the storyline continued, towards the end, you could sense what was going to happen with their relationships. I really liked their relationship they had between their sisters. As I said the book was okay and I enjoyed it, but their storyline was a bit all over place, with the main plot as well as the sub plots. The sub plots being based around the sisters and their lives.
Sasha was having an amazing life, she has an amazing marriage and a fantastic daughter (LouLou). As well as having a great business...well had a great business. Her business in on the brink of bankruptcy. And the icing on the cake she has to attend her family reunion to celebrate her parents' anniversary. Sasha however doesn't want to attend. (She felt like an outsider – her parents favourited her older sister and younger brother). But agrees to go. Her husband Ben wants Sasha to ask her family for some money to help their business, however, Sasha doesn't think that this will be a good idea. From the moment Dirk character was introduced by Sasha's sister (Adele), I had a strong feeling that this guy is her boyfriend (he is also Adele's daughter tutor). We soon find out that Sasha's dad wants to sell the house, however her mum is totally against it as alongside being married to her husband Tony, the house was the only other thing that made her stay in England. We soon learn that Adele and their brother Beau had been asking their parents for money. Sasha had taught they were financially stable, but they really weren't. Sasha decides to leave with her family first thing the next morning but unfortunately get into a car crash, her dad just so happens to be following behind them and Sasha has no choice but to return home. As the story continues Sasha is continuing helping her mum look for her missing earrings during this time Sasha discovered a picture of a baby, but she didn't recognise who this child was. We learn that the child was a child who died a baby, and their parents decided it would be best not to tell the girls. We then discover that it was LouLou who took the earrings and put them in a safe spot, when the earrings was returned Sasha and the rest of the family learn a lot about their family history and where they came from. Overall, it was a good book. The story line got better as I continued to read it, but there were points in the story which I did find a bit boring.
Harry basically has green flag all over him.
The story continues a few months after Harry and Suzie proposal extravaganza. Their proposal business is going extremely well and they decided to help prepare 100 Christmas proposals. Of course we got read the proposal blogs as well.
Suzie has been wanting to get married and start planning for their big day, however, Harry is always avoiding the topic of conversation. And little did Suzie know she had been planning her wedding for two thinking it was a proposal for another couple.
Absolutely loved this book.
Another great story of Whitsborough Bay! After Charlee mum walked out on her and losing the two people who raised her (her nan and granddad) she decides to move to Whitsborough Bay to open a chocolate shop. Her boyfriend Ricky let's say isn't the best of boyfriend. Ricky had to find work in Whitsborough Bay as he couldn't find any work in the area that he and Charlee were living in. Charlee decides to move to Whitsbourogh Bay as her arch enemy (her boss's daughter) is now the manager of the Chocolate shop. I was glad she stood up to Gabby (boss's daughter). You could see Gabby wasn't too happy about Charlee leaving and yet she still acted like a cow towards her. We later find out that it was because Charlee and Gabby were half-sisters (as Charlee mum come back because of a letter that Charlee had sent). And obviously Gabby wasn't too happy about that. Ricky and Charlee are living together. Ricky is basically living rent free and not contributing too anything, Ricky was blaming his debt on not being able to pay towards anything. We then learn that Ricky had been sleeping with ex-girlfriend who is also his best friend's girlfriend. As her business is growing, with the help of her best friend Jodie she meets Matt a local plumber and his fiancé, Libby. We soon learn about Libby and Matt past and how they ended up together and learnt that they would be better off as friends. And Matt and Charlee relationship started.
Sadie love life hasn't been the best, her wedding to her ex fiancé Felix being cancelled and all. She decides to find a new guy, a rescue dog who goes by the name William. We soon learn that William was given to the rescue centre out of spite, by Jack ex-girlfriend. Now that William has been returned to Jack, Sadie realises that she misses having a pet and decides to go back to the shelter and adopt two cats: Thyme and Rosemary. We also meet Sadie's sister Flora, who Sadie catches having a small fling during a charity ball hosted by Felix mother Even after finding out, Sadie, forgives Felix and says yes to his proposal. (there are small flashbacks to Sadie and Felix love life). Flora was one of many characters that I despised in the book. After bumping into Jack again and Flora trying to get one night stand with him, Jack decides to pay Sadie a visit. During this time Jack talks to Sadie about what happened with Flora and says that Flora really isn't his type. So, her best friend Charlotte signs them all up to a new dating app; Butter Half. Whilst scrolling on the app to see if anyone liked her photos, turns out one person had. Jack! As the story continues the relationship between Sadie and Jack slowly begins to develop, however, there is one problem...Jack ex (Gaynor) is back on the scene and is slightly giving Jack a bit of a hard time. Towards the end we realise that Gaynor is psycho ex who isn't doesn't want Jack to move on. But I was glad that Jack and Sadie got their happily ever after.
Loved this book. An enemy to lover book.
Hadley is going back to Nebraska for a family wedding. She is not too keen about this so asked her best friend Web to step in as her plus one. However, Web has other plans and fakes a food poisoning and sends his twin brother Will (Hadley nemesis). And Will pretends to be Web.

Looking forward to a nice Christmas alone, Susan didn't expect to be solving a murder.
Meera, a local business woman is in need of some assistance running the castle which was turned into a hotel, where infamous Duncan is coming to stay to show his family the scene of his childhood Christmas. Alongside his grown-up children (Bryson and Hayley) and their partners (Victoria and Lewis), and his new wife Kirsten and the editor of his paper.
It seems like someone isn't too happy with Duncan, as one morning Kirsten find him dead. It had everything of a murder mystery, with everyone having their own secrets and motives. Robert (he is helping with small maintenance of the hotel) starts questioning about the surroundings after the death of Duncan, which Susan picks up on.
Police say it was health related, Susan suspects otherwise. Using the book written by Bryson Susan tries to find clues around the hotel to find the killer.
The story had me guessing the killer till the very end (I was wrong every time). I don't know why but I wouldn't have suspected it to be him. And then learning that he was the one to kill him because his dad was about to write it in his biography of the death of his mother (that she died of a brain tumour and not liver damage). Like damn! And he was the one to hurt his mum because she never gave in when he asked for money and his parents protected him when he hurt his mum.
Amy and Mel are best friends. Or at least Amy thought they were. Amy decided to come home to London to surprise her fiancee Jack however finds another woman belonging in their apartment. She soon finds out that it's her best friend Mel, who Jack is having the secret affair with. Throughout the book, Amy, with the help of her best friend Cat and her husband Greg, helps her in making Jack and Mel life a misery. Mel soon finds out that Amy has been in London for a while and plays her like a fiddle just like Amy was doing to her and Jack. However, Amy gets back at Mel....BIG TIME!! I enjoyed this book a lot. Amy playing Mel and Jack like a fiddle was probably the best part of the story!
Tara is owner of a successful café The Chocolate Pot Café. However, she doesn't show what's happening behind the scenes. Alongside her café, Tara also runs an Etsy shop selling crocheted items. She emails asking from someone asking if they can sell her crocheted items in their store which she agrees to as well as a meeting. As soon as she realises it Jed new business, she cancels the meeting she had with him. Tara with the help of her friends decides to reconnect with her foster family & learning how to accept her past. When she finally talks to Jed about her business, she finds out about Jed's history. Jed and Tara enemies to lovers. I would love to read about what happened next with Jed and Tara
I enjoyed the first book a look so had really high hopes for this one.
The storyline was really good and enjoyed that there was another outlaw, I was trying to figure out who it was, who out of the all the characters it could be, and then I figured out who the outlaw was; Harriston (Corrick brother) I really enjoyed seeing Harriston change in character from the first book, I just wish he had told Corrick about what he was doing because of his health. .
Rian just annoyed me from the moment he was introduced in the book, Tessa annoyed me just as much for trusting this man who she just met and always thinking the worst of Corrick. I actually felt like screaming at Tessa. And it seemed like there was a love triangle happening between the three characters. Tessa is wanting Corrick to act like how he acted when he was Wes in the first book, but she didn't seem to have a problem with the character change from Wes to Corrick, but when Rian arrived it seems like all her opinions has changed.
I was hoping for more of a development of the relationship between Tessa and Corrick, so the love triangle didn't really help, especially since Rian was probably the worst person that could be apart of this triangle.
I really enjoyed this book. What drew me to the book was the synopsis. However, I predicted the ending as soon as the two characters met. I enjoyed the action in between the romance that was happening.
The book overall was a real good laugh out loud book with Billie going on dates and meeting Rocco. And then learning that Rocco is her step-sibling and they still end up getting together. The book as well didn't consist of her dating and seeing as much as I'd hope as it mainly was about her family and the drama that's happening. I think Billie and Rocco only attended 3 events hosted by the dating app they've been using and then had one date on their own accord (this was before finding out that they were step-siblings). So there really wasn't much dating happening.
Jemma and Scott have been together for about a year and half and Scott proposes to her on 28th birthday. Scott needs to leave early for work during Jemma birthday/engagement weekend. Scott said he needed to cover for his colleague Adam whose wife had gone into labour. Scott kept in contact with Jemma whilst they were apart however one day all communication stopped. With the help of her friend Drew, she realised that Scott had ghosted her as they couldn't find to history on his social media as well as being unable to email him. However, Jemma can't believe that Scott had dumped her. She soon finds out Scott isn't the person who he said he was and was catfished. Scott was Adam. Scott decided to come back to Jemma and ask for her forgiveness, promising that he will divorce his wife (and she forgave him). Sam thought he had found the one but later found out his girlfriend had been cheating on him. His older brother Jack sets Sam up on a blind date with one of their colleague Nikki. Nikki and Sam have started their life engaged, have got amazing careers and a home to call their own. But he is now alone as Nikki fell ill and passed. He couldn't be in a place which reminded of what he once had with Nikki and moved out of Whitsborough Bay and heads to London. Tiffany (Jemma roommate) asks Sam for help, as Jemma mum has been diagnosed for Parkinson as Sam specialism is in Parkinson. Sam has been hiding secrets about his life from his London colleague. Every time the opportunity arises something comes up. I was hoping he mentioned something about his life to Tiffany. However, Tiffany believes that Sam is engaged as when they met, he spoke about Nikki, but it kept me intrigued listening to both sides of stories and the reason why they're in London. Sam wanting to start a new life and Jemma for work, going back home every weekend. Sam had very strong feelings about Nikki, and you could sense it by the way he spoke about her and how hard it was for him to say that she had died. He was very much in love with her. Jemma decides to move back home as her mum not well. And the same weekend Sam decides to head back to Whitsborough Bay as well as he hasn't been home since he moved to London. I enjoyed the relationship they grew with one another and how they connected with one another. They were there for one another making each other laugh and smile. Learning about the past and growing a future. Favourite Quote: “It turned out lightning really did strike twice”
Barney hasn't been having best time with his love life, every relationship ends before, it can begin. Mainly because he cannot seem to find someone to share the same love of farming as he does. Amber is the producer of a show called ‘Love on the Farm' which Barney signed up. Amber decided to take the role of producer to be closer to her sister Sophie, as Sophie is moving to York for a TV show. Amber is a relationship, however by the looks of things she not 100% of it. But OMG Grant and Liza...absolutely hated them, like they were your typical; I think they were the executive producers. What I did love was the filming of the show and the relationship that you could sort of sense building between Amber and Barney. After the first two directors (Matt and Giles) leave a new director is bought into the show...Parker. Amber ex-fiancé, who we learn was a total arsehole to Sophie when he was directing the show that she was on. As well as Barney ex who turns up. I loved the relationship between Barney and Amber, they really did fall for each other and we got see the love grow for each other as the story went on.
It's a very slow pace book. Eden managed to secure an interview with the man of the dreams; Gavin Braddock. However, she accidently ends up as part of an FBI sting operation as she gets sent to the wrong room by the staff and that's where she meets Special Agent Matthew Decker (he saved her life).
Her meetings with both Matthew and Gavin were amazing, there wasn't much happening on her trip whilst she was with Gavin, however things did get a bit more interesting when Matthew appeared on scene. We also learn that she is being used a prop by Gavin as the it is rumoured that he is gay, Gavin as well as his PR want the rumours to stop (an article had been written, rumoured that the two eloped and Gavin and his PR didn't seem to mind this false news).
I wasn't a fan of her relationship with Gavin, he was basically using Eden for publicity, (but glad he still decided to stay friends with her even after rejecting his proposal), however when it came to her relationship with Matthew...OMG!!! It was amazing, like it was perfect. Matthew and Eden, were perfect for each other.
