Brynn is back in her old hometown and is doing an internship at a true-crime show, where she wants to find out who murdered her favourite teacher Mr Larkin. Whilst working on this internship, she is also been paired together with her ex-best friend Tripp Talbot (who found Mr. Larkin body whilst he was out with two other students) to work on a memorial for Mr. Larkin. There is also a lot of money that gone missing.

Trip mum is wanting to come back into his life, however not for the sake of Trip, but for his story. She wants him to tell his story to rival podcast (of course for money). He also learns that his mum was in town when Mr. Larkin got murdered.

During her research, for the memorial garden, Brynn and Trip find the caretakers body in his house. And Trip learns about the Brynn internship. Brynn soon learns a bit more about Mr. Larkin...he has a brother (who no one knew about).

Turns out the money that had gone missing, was taken by Trip mom (which Trip thought was taken by his dad) which he hid in Charlotte locker. Charlotte annoyed me, like why is she so bothered with Trip and Brynn hanging out. I can understand she cares about Trip but at the same time she needs to understand if they want to hang out, they can hang out and then Brynn quitting her internship because Trip thought she was using him for the podcast show...urrhgghhh!!!

OMG!! When they revealed it was Trip dad, my reaction was all over the place. And it was Trip idea to makeup the story. Yikes! I mean his dad was barely in the story, so it didn't even cross my mind that it could be him. But then another shocker, Brynn tells Trip it wasn't his dad, because he was still in the school building around that time and then had to take her home because their car broke down.

It just kept getting better...Trip found a medallion next to Mr. Larkin body, similar to the one that his dad has, and Brynn also noticed in the picture she found that Mr. Larkin had a medallion as well . My thoughts then went back to Shayne being the person that murdered Mr. Larkin, as he was found with the murder weapon, and with the money being found in Charlotte locker probably killed him thinking it was Mr. Larkin who put it there (it was in fact Trip who put the money in the locker.)

I was over the moon that Brynn and Trip became friends again! I felt like they both needed each other especially with all the secrets that were being revealed. Turns out her best Mason was Mr. Larkin half-brother, Charlotte overheard everything just like Shayne overheard when Mr. Larkin revealed his true self to Mason (although they think he was asleep in the cloakroom.) . This was probably the biggest plot twist of the story for me.

Mason birth father (Dexter) finds them and kidnaps Ellie, my God, my heart fell into my stomach when this happened, whilst on a chase with her uncle driving, it crashed into a tree, her uncle is hurt and manages to slam into Dexter. . I loved their relationship with their uncle, the fact he would do anything for these girls just made me smile.

OMG! t was Charlotte>. I But my reasons for it being Shayne; thinking he was protecting Charlotte. But turns out she hit him with the rock and hid when she saw Shayne coming, and came back out of hiding when Shayne arrived on scene and found the body.
I would have loved for her to get caught or found out!
