This book was not what I expected it to be. Fist off I didn't know it was going to be an erotica which shocked me somewhat because erotica is not my normal reading choose. I did like Leah as a character as and her background story. I understood her more as a character than I did Rob. I do think the story was a little fetched and the title did really capture the entire story, just the introduction plot point. Overall, this is a interesting story, but also realize there are erotic scenes.
This book was wonderful. At first I wasn't sure what I would feel about this book. I don't normally read books within the urban fiction genre. T.L. Wilmore is the author of this book and he sent me this book in exchange for an honest review. The book is fairly short and it includes a list of resources to help those dealing with domestic abuse and other situations. I like how the main character Bree was old enough to understand her situation, but she could only do some much to help. Even though I have not been in the situation the main character has been in I was able to understand why she felt what she did. Overall, I do recommend this book because it has a realistic plot, in depth characters and great resources.
An Adult Version of Choose Your Own Adventure
Love Him Not by Tara K. Reed, which was previously called Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda is a romantic comedy novel with 60 different endings. I would consider this an adult version of the Choose Your Own Adventure by R.A. Montgomery books.
Characters
There is a total of two main characters in this novel. Elle is a woman who just broke up with her boyfriend and her two friends Rachel and Valerie are helping her find a new man. Nick Wright is the man who she meets and it is her and Nick's relationship which propels this story forward.
Plot and Setting
In this novel, there are so many settings and plots. This is because you choose Elle's choices precise detail. Everything from the clothes she wears on a date with Nick or what to say in a difficult situation. You as the reader have control of what Elle does and says.
A Great Book
Overall, I did enjoy this book. As the reader, you are taken on a big adventure where every decision affects your future. One thing I found difficult with this book is it took me about a month to read it. I am not saying the vocabulary was tough to understand because it wasn't, but with 60 different endings and so many choices to choose from it made reading the book a little frustrating at the end. I do recommend this book and I think if you have the time to sit and go through all of the different endings it will be a fun read. I think a book with so many choices could be best read as a physical copy instead of an e-copy. I do want to read more of Tara K. Reed's books in the future. Thank you so much Tara K. Reed for sending me an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received this book from the author in an exchange for an honest review. This collection of short stories entitled Obsidian Worlds by Jason Werbeloff were all unique. Each story was set in a different universe or even time period. Another great thing about this collection is there were so many points of views which really helped to make each story different. The reason why I gave this book a three out of five stars in the sexual content. I think some of the sexual content in this story went a little too far. If the sexual content was more implied than being spelled out, I would have given this book a higher rating. Overall, I did enjoy this collection and I will most likely be picking up more of Jason Werbeloff books in the future.
I did enjoy this book. The illustrations were done really well and they captured each section of the book. One thing I would change is to show how Omar interacts with the teachers and students more. Have more show than tell about the things Omar does. A little more description of the scenery would be great. Overall, I do like how this book brings awareness about children with autism and it can be a good learning tool.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Overall, this book had a good premise but the way it was presented was lacking. I do like the dystopian world which the story was based upon. I do not however, think the author described the setting well. I was difficult for me to imagine the way the world was constructed. The characters as well didn't really capture my attention. I feel that with a little more character structure and world structure this book would have been great.
This book was so beautiful. I really related to Amy because she is a writer and so am I. Although Amy's constant nagging with her kids did annoy me some, but it wasn't a big deal. I enjoyed reading about whether she wanted to return back to work or not. The minor plot in the story also served a purpose. I also like that there were a number of subplots to keep the story flowing. I want to pick up more of Robert Whitlow's book soon.
This book even though it is about a sad subject is a story of courage. Jaycee went through horrific things for 18 years of her life. One of this things I like about this book is a lot of the chapters had reflections of how Jaycee remembered a certain time in her life. Jaycee is a survivor and always continued to have hope. That is one of the main messages I got from this book.
I really enjoyed this book. It took me a little while to get into it, but once I did I was hooked. The characters took a while to grow on me, but that is because I couldn't completely relate to them. At first I was a little bummed by this, but than I realized that if the characters were actually people I wouldn't relate to them. These characters were very different from one another as their stories waved together. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
A Good Short Story.
Overall, I did like the book. It is a quick and fast paced read. One thing I wasn't a big fan of was the formalities in the names, even though it was sort of necessary to the story's setting. I also wish I would have gotten to know the characters more, instead of just their circumstances. I would recommend this book because it discusses at topic, which I don't always see in Christian literature.
I haven't read a lot of poetry in my life so this is a little difficult for me to review. I also don't know much about the Sophocles tragedy in which this book was inspired by. The poetry written in this book, although very dark creates a lot of imagery. The artwork didn't capture my attention. I do like that the poetry is someways could be seen more realistic or metaphoric. Thank you so much for Netgalley and An Altaire Publication for sending me this book to review.
