Devlin by Emily Evans is the third book in her Rangers in Alaska series. This story is a simple friends to lovers romance. What I liked about Devlin by Emily Evans the simpleness of the book. I do however wish there was more depth to the couple's relationship and there were more complex situations. Overall I would give Devlin by Emily Evans 3 out of 5 stars. I can't wait to read more books in this series and also more books by Emily Evans.

Saving Mason by Kaci Rose is a short and sweet military romance. I loved how Paige and Mason's relationship love grows throughout the book through letters. I did feel however the relationship was rushed, but since the book is 42 pages this makes a lot of sense. I do want to read more of the books in her other series which are Saving Noah from her Oakside Military Heroes and She's Still The One from her Rock Stars of Nashville series Overall I would give 4 out of 5 stars. I did enjoy this book and I can't wait to read more by Kaci Rose.

Midnight Rose by Kaci Rose is the first book in her Fabled Mafia Wars, A Dark Mafia Romance series. I was pulled into the story from the very first sentence. What I loved about Midnight Rose by Kaci Rose are the glimpses we see of how the heroine and hero have fallen in love with each other over the years. Although this has mafia elements sprinkled throughout the book they aren't difficult to read or graphic in nature. There are a few sex scenes in this book but I am glad they don't distract from the main plot of the story. Overall I would give Midnight Rose by Kaci Rose 5 out of 5 stars. I can't wait to read more books in this series and also more books by Kaci Rose.

Falling in Love on Route 66 by Kaci Rose is a good story about love and a road trip. Rory the heroine and Weston the hero are a couple that goes through many ups and downs until they get their Happily Ever After. One of the things we get to see is their love grows over time as little glances and delicate touches bring them to the point where they can honestly share their love for each other. The thing I wasn't a fan of was about caring what one of the characters thinks is what causes major issues in their relationship. Rory and Weston are both adults and should make their own decisions no matter what other people think. Overall I would give Falling in Love on Route 66 by Kaci Rose 4 out of 5 stars. I did enjoy the book and I can't wait to read more by Kaci Rose.

I loved reading Take Me To The Cabin which is the second book in the Mountain Men of Whiskey River series by Kaci Rose. I loved how you got to see the daily lives of Jenna and Phoenix. From their first interactions and to the epilogue. We also get to see Jenna and Phoenix living their separate lives and the battles that they are both facing.
As a reader, it was wonderful to see how they weren't this perfect couple and their flaws were something they had to discuss and work through. I also loved the way in which the mountain setting was actually not just shown as a setting. Whiskey River is an essential part of the story and without all of those details of the mountain life, the characters and their stories wouldn't be possible. When reading this wonderful book I could imagine all the little details of the town. For instance, the store where Phoenix and people in the town share their handcraft items. For Phoenix, this is furniture that he makes in the garage attached to his cabin. This is how Jenna and Pheonix and their relationship grew in a realistic way as they both have to trust each other and even getting to know themselves and arriving at Whiskey River is aiding them to be who they are.
I also loved reading Take Me To The River which is the first book in this series and I'm so glad I was able to read Take Me To The Cabin. Both of the books, Take Me To the Cabin and Take Me To The River are truly companions of each other. I recommend this book for people who like books that take place in the mountains. This book has some steamy scenes in it, but they do add more character development to the story. I can't wait to read the other books in this series.

This is the first book I've read in two months. I think the characters were interesting, but this book had so much instalove. This book could have been longer with more of a closer look of each of the characters. It was a cute, relaxing and clean read. I think it helped me get out of my reading slump.
A Wonderful Ending
Brush of Wings by Karen Kingsbury is the third book of the Angels Walking trilogy by Karen Kingsbury. I loved the way the story wrapped up and I didn't want it to end. I read the book in a little over a day because I couldn't put it down.
Characters
I love how I was truly able to know the characters on a deeper level. I felt empathy for the characters at their pain and I felt their happiness. All of the characters to me felt realistic and like I could imagine them to be real people. I also did enjoy the angels in this book and how they each played a role in the main characters lives.
Plot and Setting
In Brush of Wings we were in two different locations and I think they had a great impact on the overall story. I also think Karen did a wonderful job of a little summary of the first two books by weaving them into the story.
Can't Wait to Read More
I cannot wait to read more from Karen Kingsbury. Her books have changed my life for the better. Each time I read one of her books I learn more and about God. I also learn more about myself. Thank you Karen Kingsbury and her team for sending me an early copy of the book it means a lot to me. Also thank Netgalley for sending me an eArc in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so fast paced. I don't remember when I read a book of this page length, so fast. This story was sad and the three girls went through so much. I would say this book has very strong language and graphic (in terms of sex and violence) writing. So if those two upset you I wouldn't read this book. The reason why I couldn't give this book a 5 out of 5 stars was because of those two elements. They were just something I didn't expect. Overall, I do want to read more of Chevy Stevens books.
A Fantastic Book on Greek Mythology
I loved this book. At first I didn't know what to expect, but I loved this book. It was extremely fast paced and well written.
Characters
We have one main character throughout the entire book and it is Hope. She dealt with a lot of lose and loneliness. I did really enjoy Hope's character because she was more of an introvert because of everything she had to deal within her life. The minor characters such as Athan and others all bring out certain parts of Hope which make her a strongly written character. She has flaws and I like this about Hope because it makes her more realistic.
Plot and Setting
The plot and setting of this book was fantastic. I like that the book had an index in the back about Greek Mythology, as a reader you can understand the different Greek gods if you weren't sure who they were. I didn't look at the glossary until I finished the book, but I was still able to understand completely what was going on which was fantastic. I also like that this book was set it modern times, but the elements of Greek mythology were incorporated so well.
I Want to Read More
Thank you so much Raye Wagner for sending me a ebook of Curse of the Sphinx in exchange for an honest review. If you like learning about Greek mythology I think you will enjoy this book. It is fast paced and will keep you wanting to know what will happen next. I can't wait to read more from Rayne Wagner.
Loved This Concept
Blood, Ink & Fire by Ashley Mansour is a dystopia science fiction novel. I loved this concept which is basically a world where book and words no longer exist. I can't even imagine a world like this because I am such an avid reader and writer myself. A world such as this seems impossible.
Characters
In the novel we have a variety of characters ranging, but now I will talk about the main character Noelle. She is a fighter, but still is fearful due to a number of circumstances in her life. She overcomes a variety of odds, but is scared to face the unknown. The other characters within this novel, help to either Noelle to become a stronger woman or not. The romance especially between Noelle and another character was really fast paced. To me they went not like each other to being in love and for me at least I was surprised on how quick their love relationship developed. However, I do think the characters in this book all contribute to the story and there weren't any wasted characters.
Plot and Setting
In Blood, Ink and Fire there are a variety of places the main characters go to. Each place is like a different world, which is something I really enjoyed. The plot was a little slow for me and I felt as though things didn't pick up until about 60% of the book. I did really enjoy the overall premise of this book. I also did think there was a lot of description which made me read the book a lot slower. For me at least, I didn't have enough room to imagine the landscape, people and surrounds because a lot of it was described for me. I did immerse myself into the world and the story. As I flipped the pages I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
A Unique Dystopia
First, I would like to say thank you to Ashley Mansour and Netgalley for giving me an arc of this book to review. Blood, Ink & Fire was such a great concept I think for book lovers, writers and everyone in general. It is a story of what happens when we replace words, stories, books and writing for only what we can see. I do think that television and movies are wonderful things, but I also think they should be balanced with books and literature. Overall, I did really enjoy this book and I recommend it. I have also heard there may be more in the series which I am excited to read.
Book Quotes I Loved
“To the boolos, books were like people. The stories inside them were real. The characters lived and breathed. Books were life. They were breath. To feel these things in the stories as keenly as if they were not just words on a page, but memories from your own life, to make you imagine things you never dreamed of, that was the power of a book. A power we must regain.” (Ashley Mansour, Blood, Ink & Fire; Chapter Thirteen)
“Remember the reader needs the book as much as the book needs the reader. Without you, I am nothing...” (Ashley Mansour, Blood, Ink & Fire; Chapter Thirty-Three)
“We can't control what happens to us. Only what we do about it.” (Ashley Mansour, Blood, Ink & Fire; Chapter Forty-Three)
I loved this book. Although this is the second book I read this year in 2016 I feel like this will be one of my favorite books of the year. One of the reasons why I loved this book is where it met me where I am at. I am learning what God has called me to do and I know I need to continue on that path. I know sometimes people won't agree or understand where God is leading me this is okay. I need to be with others who are positive and who are living their dreams and passions. I just have to do what God has called me to do and love my life.
