Couldn't get into the writing style and conversational writing

Couldn't get into it. It is a very dry read

This came highly recommended to me. I have to say, it was a tough read. What I mean by tough, is that as a childhood abuse survivor, I found myself reliving, reflecting. and pondering a lot of memories. 
It is a well written book & I applaud the author for putting everything out there and for sharing her experience.

The daughter's interactions and attitude toward her mother were like nails.on a chalkboard for me.

Could not get into the storyline.
