I HATE IT WHEN AN AUTHOR USES THE WORD “CUNT” DURING SEXY TIMES. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT SEXY!
We have a girl who is human but has ancestors who have successfully been able to be turned into a werewolf who is capable of producing offspring, not very common. For some reason the werewolf population has a shortage of born werewolves. Yep, that story again. Anyways, the alpha of a pack (not near my kindle and forgot the name) has recognized said girl as mate. He has a weaker, less controlled wolf protecting her but has given the order that he doesn't want her “changed” yet. Well weak wolfie loses control of his beast, what a surprise, and he attacks alphas mate while still human and she is now infected with the werewolf virus (or whatever it is called). He than basically has her held against her will, but it's for her own good because the full moon is in a few nights. And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I figured I would give this a shot. There are only a few authors who can still entertain me with a shifter/were stiryline. I used to read a lot of Lauren Dane, but her books got to the point where they felt like I was reading the same book over and over. Ugh...
That being said. This is full of cheesy romance and make me gag dialogue. The alpha wasn't very alpha, but I did like the girl... sort of. Well, I didn't want to rip her face off anyways. I skipped the f*ck scenes after the “C” word was used so I can't comment too much.
People new to this author will probably enjoy this. Die hard Dane fans will like this. If you want a new storyljne, avoid this!

This is nice. I love the way this book is put together. I have other coloring books made just like this one and they are all amazing. Bright white paper that is thick, printed on both sides. The cover is cute. It has an actual dust jacket making it sturdy and giving it a nice quality look. This book is quite a bit larger than I expected, and the page count is also higher than anticipated.
The pictures themselves are nice. The are hand drawn, so don't expect crisp lines. In my opinion this makes for a great finished product because of its uniqueness. This sure to appeal to anyone who loves to color and has a love for domestic house cats.
My Prismacolor colored pencils work well on these, as do my gel pen. The cheaper Crayola colored pencils actually work better than I thought they would. I haven't tried my watercolor pencils yet, but I expect good results.
I am having a blast using different colors for the cats fur then blending them together. I have had some really awesome results.
I will definitely be seeing what other products are available by the same publisher. All three that I have are very nice.

This was a solid story. We get a girl, Aithne, who wants to save her sister from a vampire king who has captured her. In order to do this she must capture a male dragon shifter. Dragon shifter is mated to a witch. In order to get close to this man she makes friends with her target's mate's witchy sisters. These witchy sisters are special because not more than one female is ever born to a family, all other children are male. Well, long story short. There is another dragon shifter, Viktor, who houses and protects these witchy sisters. From the moment Aithne and Viktor meet there are sparks, literal sparks as in static electricity, or so they thought that ie what it was...
I like that there are a variety of different species of paranormal character: witches, vamoires, shifters, and some guy who can do something called “shadowing.” This is a standalone book that has an ending, I love that part. The character developement was very good and the world that the author built was intriguing.
There are a lot of characters to keep straight. It became a little confusing. I feel that this is growing to be a big series, so the character introduction may be for a reason. There are things I think could use a little tweaking. The way some of the sentences are worded felt, to me, like they could have been shortened and would have had a better flow. At times, the dialogue also felt a bit lengthy.
All things considered, I will read the next book in the series (if there is one) and decide from there if I will continue after that. I just realized that this is the second book in the series, maybe that would have helped me to keep the characters straight if I had read it. I am assuming it is Chase's (the target shifter) book.
I recieved a free ecopy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this, but I admit that I almost gave up when I struggled with the first chapter. If you read this, I promise it gets a bit better.
This is a short, just under 100 pages. This is new adult, so expect a little steam. Also, it's a CLIFFHANGER with two more books following to make this a trilogy. The writing is decent, but I think this may have been more effective if the whole trilogy were put into one book making it a regular length novel. These are priced at $2.99 each (at the time of his review). $8.97 for a little over 300 pages is not competively priced to comparable books. Lower the price and I will read the next installment. I can get books in the paranormal genre by big name authors for cheaper than this.

(3.5 out 5 stars)
Scheduled Release Date: March 7, 2016
The beginning of this book was great. The middle was a little flat. Then it got good again.
The plot isn't anything new. You have a sick, dying woman who is the cream of the crop to vampires being a blood slave. Too make her blood even more delectable, she has been infused with “spice,” a vampire drug that is supposed to have no effect on humans. She is out to avenge the death of her twin sister. She is gorgious, fiesty, and out to get revenge for the death of her twin sister. She seeks out a vampire assassin with a reputation for being the best of the best.
The Vampire lead character is used to a life of booze and paid killing. Vampires are jnown for their perfect appearences, but not him. Half of his face is paralized causing it to sag. He refuses to work with humans, until a pretty blood slave walks into his life. He is attracted to her and slowly lowers the barriers he has had in place for years when this human begins to look past his appearance. All is well until her blood makes him have episodes of uncontrollable blood lust. These episodes have a “unique” trigger and makes things difficult. On top of all that he has to constantly watch his back due to a mmisunderstanding with a lycan pack hell bent on finding and eliminating the person/people responsible for slaughtering young members of their species.
Sound familiar? It does to me.
There were a few things that bugged me about this book. I loved the characters, but sometimes it felt like they made choices or their actions didn't quite seem to be how their character would react. I also wish that there was more action, not sex action, but fighting scenes and the like.
The sex scenes are HOT! It's a panty soaker for sure!
I did REALLY like that one of the main characters were just plain gorgious. It made the story all tht more enjoyable. The way the two characters interacted was nice too. They are really y nice pairing.
I will be sure to check out more by this author in the future.
I recieved a prerelease copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
If you can't say nothing nice, don't say nothing at all...
Nope. Not taking that advice. This sucked worse than I expected, and I expected it to be aweful. I have never read anything good from this author, but this is maybe the worst yet! Even worse than that poor excuse of a graphic novel she put out.
Yes, this was free, but come on. Free doesn't have to suck.
I was going through Christmas gifts and realized I had gotten both of my girls a nice coloring book, and not my boy. I got ready to go to the store to try to find one for him knowing full well that all of the stores are completely sold out of them, but I was going to try. There was a delivery package on my porch. Guess what was in it! This! It's perfect! The pictures are nice, and it's Christmas themed. Perfect! I didn't even know I had won this n booklikes.
This is a great steampunk novel for middle grade readers. Adults too, I enjoyed this thoroughly. It is full of adventure and the author has a great talent for describing a scene. I will definitely continue to follow this series as the author expands it.
My seven year old son enjoyed this as a read aloud. It was his first long steampunk. I think I have found a fellow family member to share my love of the genre with.
The Warden has done it again... finally. I admit to liking The Shadows, alot, but admit that it wasn't like the series I had grown to love. A matter of fact, the most recent couple of books were good, just not what I wanted. This one, on the other hand is great, and reminiscent of the books I loved from J.R. Ward.
We are back at the training center with a new group of trainees. Remember when John Michael and his group of trainees were there? That is like this. The brothers are training them. There are females in this group, a major developement for their population, and one of those females is an aristocrat. Big, big deal people. Said aristocrat is pining for a floor layer's son, also in the program.
We also get a better understanding of Marissa, Butch's shellen, in this. Her and Butch's relationship is examined. I never really cared for either Butch or Marissa until this book, now I love them.
I feel like I have visited with old friends, and met a few new ones to boot.
This book will make absolutely no sense what so ever if you haven't read at least some of the original Black Dagger Brotherhood books. If you haven't, what the hell are you waiting on?
This is a fictional take on the history and life of Santa's life to becoming the big man with gifts. I really think children will love the story, it is really imaginative. This author must have an amazing imagination. The detail in this is amazingly well thought out.
My eight year old was transfixed on story I was reading to him. He was beginning to question whether Santa was truth or myth. Not anymore.
There are illustrations on just about every other page and they help to keep a child interested while reading.
This isn't the type of book you hand to an eight year old to read on his own, it would be way too due to how many words there are. It is a rather long story. It took several reading sessions for us to read this.
Recommendation:
This is a perfect book for this time of year. I love how it made Santa more “believable” and helped to save the magic for my seven year old little man. I wasn't ready for him to stop believing. For that I thank the author for providing a review copy in exchange for an honest review.
I went into this expecting a young adult or middle grade graphic novel. What I got was a graphic novel more inline for a younger reader. My seven year old would have no problem reading this.
This is a compilation of fairy tale retellings; Cinderella, Snow White, Little Red Riding Hood, The Billy Goats Gruff, and Hansel & Gretel. The authors did a great job of making this entertaining and interesting for both boys and girls. Cinderella is a ninja, Ninjarella. What kid won't find that awesome and intriguing?
The graphics are bold and really compliment the dialogue and storyline. They put me in mind of Cartoon Network cartoons.
I received a pre-release review copy from Netgalley.
This is nice. I really love the quality of paper that this is on. It is smooth, thick, and very bright white. My Prismatic Color colored pencils paired very nicely with this. This truly does look like a kaleidoscope of shape and pictures. The pictures remindnd me of wallpaper and fabric patterns. That aspect really appeals to my youngest daughter, she loves to design things. We had a great time coming up with color schemes. Each picture/drawing covers two pages and front and back of each page is covered. This has a lot more pictures than I expexted it to have. I will definitely be ordering more of these, not necessarily this particular scheme, coloring books. They will make great Christmas gifts.
The pictures are hand drawn, do not expect perfect angles, and artistry. This is unique, I have yet to see another coloring book drawn this way.
I just love the pictures in this coloring book. They are so detailed and full of fantasy elements. The paper quality is great and bright white. It works well with both my cheap Crayola Colored Pencils and my more expensive Prismacolor. I have colored two pictures in this. It is a blast picking out color choices. The book itself is well put together. It doesn't look like a coloring book. It has a slip cover that gives it a classy, high quality look. The price is good too. As of now it is under nine dollars. I have paid much more than that for coloring books this nice. I love this.
I recieved a copy of this from Blogging For Books in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this. There is a mix of paranormal and mythical species and am curious to see where this goes.
In this you get a human betrayed by her mother. She was raised to think that she was going to be a sort of teacher for the immortal population and that she would be found repulsive by them. That is not the case at all. She is immediately marked by an immortal hell bent on claiming as his own. The problem with that 8s that if he claims her it will not end well. To save her a vampire cams her instead.
This was unique and that is something I rarely say. I have read A LOT of paranormal romance.
THIS COMES OUT TOMORROW: DECEMBER 1, 2015!
Oh... I am still in IAD coma... I love this series! I was so disappointed by Cole's choice to feature two newbie characters. Then I read this. THIS IS A CONTENDER FOR MY FAVORITE OF THIS SERIES! Actually it's a toss up between this and Shadow's Claim, which was also a book I didn't think was going to be as good as the other books of this series.
Jo, the female lead, has some wickedly amazing powers. We haven't seen a character of her species <–plural! She's a hybrid, and as much as I want to tell, I won't, it would ruin the surprise. She has no knowledge of the Lore and has only recently come to realize that she isnt the only superpowered being in existence. Before she finds out what her origins are, she thinks of herself as a superhero. She uses her abilities to remove undesirable humans from her territory.
Rune (or Ruin, as Jo likes torment him by calling him that) is an insatiable horn dog who munipulates females by giving them the rife of their life. To him sex is just a tool that he utilizes. He is old as dirt, handsome to a fault, and extremely sure of his abilities both in the bedroom and on the battlefield. He is known as Rune the Baneblood. He is half Fey, half demon. His dark fey blood is black and deadly, as is his kiss.
The two of these characters have amazing chemistry, mind blowing sex, and annoy the shit out of each other. It is interesting to watch their relationship develope.
Phew... this was hot! Definitely a panty soaker. In every book, Cole's ability to write a hot ad hell sex scene and still keep it from turning to plain pornographically gets better and better. This woman could write an obituary and I would wait in line for days to get my hands on a copy of it.
I really hope that these characters are including in future books. I love this book so much that I just preordered a physical copy today from despite the fact that I just read the book.
It felt like my birthday and Christmas all rolled into one when I found out that I had been approved to recieve and ARC of this book through Netgalley. Best nonbirthday/nonchristmas gift ever!
The entire time I was reading I kept thinking that the story was very familiar to me. Turns out that this was originally published in 1994 and that I read it about 10 or so years ago.
You have a vampire not wanting to be a vampire anymore. He seeks out the help of a doc and falls in love with the doc's daughter. The daughter doesn't now that her new man is a vampire and doesn't listen to her father's protests against their coupling.
This is paranormal romance, if you like the genre you will most likely like this.
I recieved a copy of this through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This book made laugh on minute then cry the next, over and over. This so much reminded me of what it was like to deal with my grandfather who was difficult in his old age. He too told some amazing stories.
This is really well edited and flowed smoothly. It was sort of weird to bounce back and forth between present day conversations and stories from the past, but I quickly got used to it.
I won this on Librarything, I did not promise a review.
This was a blast. My son and I hated to see this book end.
This is steampunk for middle grade readers, but older individuals who are still a kid at heart will love this. The cast of unusual character's are amazing. This is a Disnay novel, and it really felt like it. As a kid I loved Disney. This would have been a childhood favorite of mine. The adventure was amazing, the characters are so unique, and I loved the pacing of the story. There were no slow, long winded parts of this story.
It is really a shame that the publication date is set for January 2016. I would have loved to buy this, and the first book in this series, as Christmas gifts.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is so cute. I love how this doesn't exceed the level of understanding of the intended age group, 6-10. So many chapter books for this reading level use words or situations that go above the level of understanding. It can be difficult to make a book enjoyable and still achieve this. Bravo to the author.
This is a fun book. Rosco is a two year old pup experiencing snow for the first time. Most children love snow and dogs so I think most will enjoy this combination. I like how the brother and sister in this are like real children so younger readers will easily relate with them.
I received a copy of this free through Choosy Bookworm in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.
My Thoughts:
I am super impressed with this book. The instructions are really easy to follow and conveyed in step-by-step illustration with a written typed out “hints” to make the process a bit easier to accomplish.
Towards the end of the book I was happy to see a section titled “Write in Cartoon Calligraphy.” In this section are instructions on how t successfully write in Letters With Cute Icons (the example is adorable, FLOWER), Deep Letters (3-D), Balloon Letters (letters in balloons), The Font of Doom (letters that are dripping), Chipped Brick (letters made to look like a brick wall with peeling paint), Gothic and Halloween (spooky with cobwebs and skulls), Marquee: A Star is Drawn (letters on a marquee sign), and Kooky Letters (the he's are awesome, each letter is unique).
Another section that I really like is Draw Ridiculous Inventions. These are amazing. In one areas of this section there is a boy on a seesaw. He is playing alone. His seesaw is built into a machine where balls fall from one bucket to another. On their way between buckets they land on the opposite side of the seesaw to that on which the boy is seated. When the balls hit that side it causes the seesaw to move up and down. Another is a foot pedal powered blender.
The designs in this will be very helpful for school projects due for school that my children soon have coming up. I am going to have to purchase two more copies of this to please my children because there is already a tug-of-war claiming of the book in progress.
Recommendation:
I highly recommend this to both adults and children no matter their artistic skill level.
Thank you to Blogging For Books for providing a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This is the best book I recieved from them yet.
This is an inrteresting take on reincarnation and karma. I don't know much about Hinduism. The author says that it isn't really a religion, and the points he brings up are valid. His opinions on Christianity may offend some, I advise to take if you have a strong belief in Christianity and are easily upset when your beliefs are challenged.
I really enjoyed this. I often wonder what is in store for people after they have left this life. Sherman's ideas on this are another possibility. Did this book change my beliefs on anything? No, but it did make me more aware of certain ideals.
A friend of mine just started reading my copy. He is probably more qualified to write a review on this book from a religious standpoint. I will link to his review once he has posted it.
I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
This is told in first person. It alternates between Frankie and Gunner's view point. It was easy to follow and the switch between characters was changed as new chapters began.
This had so much potential to be a great book, but it felt rushed. I love the grittiness of the way it was written. I plowed through the first couple of chapters, then it started to feel uncompleted. I felt it was lacking. There was not enough character developement, the setting needed to be better described. The way some parts were worded left me having to reread what I had already read in order to understand what it was meant to say.
I have read unpolished stories before they were finished. That is what this felt like. I feel that if this did go through another rewrite that it has the potential to be a four star read for me. There were parts of this book that were amazing. I want to give those parts a better rating, but the parts that felt lacking were too frequent to ignore.
Summary of my thoughts:
Needs more, and I will check out more by this author only because of those glimpses of amazingness (I made that word up!). I wish I could rate this in sections.
