Lots of good advice and good tips! Some parts are unfortunately too focused on show dogs and what's expected of Pembroke Welsh Corgis as a breed and not less on having a healthy good pet. It is also often expected that all owners have a house with a yard. But other than that I found this book more useful than most books I've read on the breed.
A beautiful story that will take you back and forward in time. Nostalgia, youth, approach of death... [a:Yvette Z'Graggen 386345 Yvette Z'Graggen http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-U-50x66.jpg] is a really good Swiss writer and although I was afraid the book wouldn't please me, it sure did.
It didn't make me a vegetarian, but it's full of interesting facts, it opens your eyes on a lot of things. Definitely a must read! Loved it.
A good storyline, but way too complicated in certain sentences. Either in French or in English. The reading isn't really pleasant, while the subject is great and the way the book is constructed interresting.
Don't expect a happy ending, though ! ^^
Reading this after watching the Netflix show and loving it is hard. And also unfair. Because I can't help but comparing them. It has less build up, everything goes a bit too fast. It's still a great story and I still love the characters even if different from the show. I just feel like if I hadn't seen the show, I would've been confused by some explanations because it's so succinct.
But I can't tell really if I liked it less because I saw the show or not. In any case I'm always a huge fan of Hamish Steele's work, the drawings are gorgeous, the characters are charming and the story holds up!
