Dear Martin is a must read for everyone. This book deals with such an important topic and it portrays it brutally and honestly.
So ... What can I say about Obsidio next to the fact that I am an absolute mess and I live for this series?
Mehhh. I did like some poems, but it felt like the most poems were things you put in a tumblr post or something. Idk I just didn't connect with this one
I am way too biased to review this book since I love it so damn much. So here I am giving it five wonderful stars again, because I want to. Okbye xoxo

Cannot wait to read “Gemina” and continue with this amazing story
trigger warning: eating disorders
This was so good. It's a good representation of Anorexia Nervosa. So raw.
ARE YOU PLAYING THE GAME OR IS THE GAME PLAYING YOU?Vee doesn't know if she has the guts to play NERVE, an anonymous online game of dares. But whoever's behind the game knows exactly what she wants, enticing her with lustworthy prizes and a sizzling-hot partner. With Ian on her team, it's easy to agree to another dare. And another. And another. At first it's thrilling as the Watchers cheer them on to more dangerous challenges. But suddenly the game turns deadly. Will Vee and Ian risk their lives for the Grand Prize dare, or will they lose NERVE?
Nerve is a book that gets you on the edge of your seat. It is thrilling, it is funny, it has cute guys and it has a plottwist. What more could you want?
The dares get more daring while you read on. It started of as a joke and ended with a life threatening dare.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were loveable and I could totally see Vee and Ian together.
Four lovely stars for this book
After four years I decide to reread this book. And boy... Why did I do this?
I disliked the story even more than I did four years ago. I feel so bad about it, because I really wanted to like it! I really enjoy Ahdieh's other works.
This book just fell flat for me. The main character is annoying and keeps saying how amazing she is. Well, why don't you show it instead of talking about how great you are. It was repetitive.
The story itself lacked depth and it felt illogical at points. :c
I was given this manga from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
Cover:
This cover is SO beautiful! Look at Pip and Estella: they look amazing ;-;
Plot:
Pip is an orphan who lives with his sister and his brother-in-law, Joe. Pip's sister thinks that Pip is a burden. She is always complaining about him. Joe is a blacksmith and he is nice to Pip.
Mrs. Havisham is an old woman who is rather strange. She was betrayed by the man she was in love with. Ever since that heartbreak she is bitter and filled with hatred and a lot of anger. Mrs. Havisham has adopted a daughter: the beautiful Estella who is very very proud and rude.
Pip however falls in love with the beautiful ice queen Estella. He has great expectations for his life: he wants to become a rich men and then marry Estella.
Overall:
I really liked the manga. It is a quick read where you can see Pip growing up and becoming a great man. You see him at his worst and at his best. I loved the story, the characters and the artwork in this manga is just superb.
I recommend this series of Manga Classics. It was my second time reading a classic in the style of manga and it won't be the last one.
You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you'll escape it one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it.
I just love this John Green book the most. I love the quotes and the meaning behind it.
Holy moly, I freaking LOVED this book! It was very well written, with a nice plot. And it had a decent plot twist! :)
So... How to start a review about a classic which I know a lot of people like. I was really intrigued by the idea behind Fahrenheit 451 and I enjoyed the first couple of chapters, but then it took a turn. Short story: I didn't like the way the plot was going. It was just decent. I started to lose interest in reading this book, which made me sad, since this has been on my TBR for years. (ever since I've heard what it's about). Even though I don't particularly like the book I'm still glad that I read the book. It definitely shows the heaviness of the air in a world where the government controls the input of knowledge (and its tight grip on society). It had an unsettling feeling which I really appreciated in this story.
Conclusion: it was a decent story. I would recommend it even though I didn't like it as much. This novel was very ahead of its time and people should appreciate that (and the bloody wonderful writing).
Still love this series with every fiber of my heart. Can't wait to reread the rest of them ;-;
When I first heard about this book, I heard people talking about it being creepy. Especially the photographs included. It wasn't really creepy in my opinion. Yes, the pictures are a tad weird, but that's it.
The story itself is written at a nice pace. Whilst reading it is quite obvious it's just a book leading up to the big conclusion, which will not be revealed at the end of this book since it's only the first installment in the series. Overall the pace was just fine, but it definitely was slowed down because of the photo's included. At some point I felt like the photo's weren't really adding anything important to the story anymore. I was getting annoyed by how many photo's there were.
I liked the writing style of Ransom Riggs. It's easy to follow and to read. The first half of the book is very descriptive and informative about the story of the grandfather and Miss Peregrine, so you get the hang of the story. Near the end the story really kicked off! It got exciting and it had a nice cliffhanger at the end. Thanks to this cliffhanger I decided to give three stars and I decided to continue with the series.
Overall, I liked the ending of the book the most. It was the most action packed and the most exciting.
2,5*
Least favourite installment. It's too repetitive and not as funny (and lovely) as previous parts. Still enjoyed the parts with Michael A LOT. <3
Confused screeching
I swear to God I am so confused. The characters were, ehhh, not so great. The mystery was decent, but damn I didn't like it as much.
However it is very noticeable that it's a very early on YA-adaptation. It includes most of the early YA elements, so I can appreciate it.
Don't know if I'll continue with the series, it's not on my priority list and ehh, I didn't like it that much to prioritize the next installments.
