How has this book got a 3.87 star rating???
This book is everything. It has made me cry on two occasions and the banter between Gemma and Elliot is everything. All of this was worth it and the happy ending...
Come on, this book has pretty much ruined all of my senses.
Re-read 1:
The rating has gone further down, what is going on?
This book seems even better than before, I can learn to appreciate it more knowing more about the other characters like Foxglove, Amelie and Nyxia. I'm shocked I didn't remember Nyxia at all, especially with her being a part of Ember's story. I genuinely feel so bad but I appreciate the book more in turn.
Rating has gone from 4 stars to 4.5!
EDIT: I think my brain has recovered from the info dropping from JLA. I think I prefer this series over Blood and Ash, even though they aren't largely different with similar characters but opposing situations. I just wish that JLA could have been more creative than just recycling Poppy and Casteel to create Sera and Nyktos, even if she swapped some of the characteristics around. But, anyway, with trying to put FBAA in the back of my mind I would give this 4 stars at most. At least, until my mind changes
I feel like my brain has been over-fed information, like I cannot even begin to think why JLA would info drop and leave us on a cliff-hanger like that. I'm far too shocked to even come up with anything but this. I'll give my brain 12 hours to go haywire and then I'll formulate something more understandable.
Re-read #3: I love this book so much and I'm pretty sure I could read it thousands of more times, have it written into my brain, and still not tire of it. I think it's genuinely my comfort book.
EDIT: Re-read #2 done and this book never fails to amaze me. Onto tbona rr#2 and then, hopefully, acftl.
EDIT: Reread 1, 11th September
Impromptu read done, I can confirm that this book will continue to be 5 stars. It's just so beautiful.

Original: Never thought I'd finish this today. I was on the verge of falling into a reading slump after finding some not-so-interesting books. This one was full of fluffy scenes, a bit of action and a puzzle that wasn't hard to figure out. It was a light hearted book that got me out of whatever I was dealing with and I'm so disappointed to find out that I have to wait until September/October just to read the final book when I'll likely finish the 2nd tomorrow.
Do I regret reading the book? Not quite. It actually gives me so much hope for the Caraval series as this one was frequently suggested to be worse.
I don't quite know what to rate this book, it wasnt as bad as people suggested but there were holes in the storyline as well as a lack of world-building. It was clearly enough to be published by Penguin Random House but I don't know if it is enough.
For a quick read, it was far from bad. For romance, it could have been a slight bit better. For a plot, the overall plot was good but felt too short. I feel as if things were missing, yet, don't know what. The characters aren't the best, nor are they the worst. All I can say is that Violet is falsely advertised as a morally grey character, unless it depends on how you look at the situations where she compulsively lied. If the book were around 100 pages longer or the plot stretched over 3 books rather than two, it may have been more enjoyable.
Two words: Absolutely breathtaking!
This book was a whole ride between Ellis and Easton, it went through their time when they were younger as well as their current day story.
A book of heartbreak and hope, a book where the two misunderstood misfit children are brought together only to fall apart years later.
I love this book with all my being for how real it was, it was real and the pain felt was everything. It was encompassing and had me hooked.
RR#1: I love love love Ellis and Easton, their story is beautiful and I feel like I relate to Ellis a lot. My world is so small, just in one area and I would love to see the whole expanse of the Earth, from where I live and back.
Easton and his poetry is so lovely, as someone who writes and loves words, his poetry was a welcome sight and Easton's of the world deserve to do as well as he did.
My first book of July.
This book has me in a slight jumble, it took so long to begin reading it that I decided to take a break and come back to it.
Yesterday, I started reading it again. The first 200 or so pages were a bore for me but as I got to the 2nd half, it instantly became a whole lot more enjoyable.
Now, that I've read to the end, I can safely say that I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. I seriously cannot wait for the next book and I'm seriously hoping that I have some Laura content.
Now, while it was a really good book, I had to scale down my rating based on how long it took to read this book. I will give it 4 stars for that.
But it was insane and I kind of guessed the different bits and pieces but I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the end.
Spoilers...
Oh and Tyler, my heart goes out for him... Murdered AND skinned
Help, the ending was so wholesome. I can't wait for some more Vanja-Emeric content.
I'm genuinely shocked by this book, it genuinely deserves all the recognition it has gotten and more.
I had a feeling about Kiva and even now I'm shocked that it has come to pass and is very much true.
4.5 stars!
I just love Cardan so this was such an amazing thing to read about him. His life is an interesting one to delve into and thank you Holly Black for that.
Finished last night with my eyes close to closing. While I really loved the first 260 pages, the last 100 fell flat for me. I don't know what I was expecting but it was so close to being a 4.5 star read. Now I'm not sure whether to rate it 3.5 or 4 stars.
I found this book better than the others. 5 stars easily!
This book was beautiful and I had just been waiting for Nesta's story. It was blantantly different to that of Feyre, I wasn't so interested in Feyre's story after A Court Of Mist And Fury but stuck with it for other characters (Nesta and Azriel tbh).
I loved how Nesta's improvements were measured against the 10,000 stairs, it was really symbolic and pretty awe inspiring. Going from a terrible drunk to this formidable warrior, who has finally learnt to show her love of people. One of the realist character arcs I've ever seen
Update: Now that I've finished my re-read of acotar, I can now say I'm due to change all the ratings accordingly because they seem wrong to me
Update: Now I'm changing the ratings, I realise this is solidly in the 4 camp since I don't ever go to 4.25 stars and I refuse to rate it up
Finished! 3.5 stars, not quite more since it was dragging at the start.
Hell, that ending saddened me after finding out so much about Nora. Where her final life was too perfect, before she went back to the Midnight Library, I was hoping she would have some semblance of it by the time she was conscious. When she did have that, through her brother, I wished it was shown more through her relationship. It just wasn't enough to see her and Joe back to good relations. I must admit though, it was very nice to see Nora back on her feet and enjoying her life in a way she never did. And the wholesome Mrs Elm catch-up got me, almost.
I admit that this book is probably towards the lower end of my 4 star reads for the most part. It would have been almost 3.5 stars if it weren't for the ending or any Roma and Juliette parts. It was largely slow paced and I never would have expected to get through it as quickly as I did. I thought I would take at least a week reading it but I was in luck. I cannot wait to read the next book, but for now I will be attempting to move onto different books that will ease any stress for my upcoming books. It's all light-hearted from here till the 21st of June!
This book was horrible and I say it in the nicest way possible. It was sooooo good but I hated how it ended, like why was Kiva done over like this? Why was Jaren done over like this? Just why?
But anyway, 4.5 stars!
This book has been like a rollercoaster ride. I don't quite understand the hatred towards Nesta, maybe it's the fact that she never felt the need to protect Feyre or something else. She's genuinely a character though and it's amazing to see.
Rhysand is as lovely and amazing as always. You can tell he's the epitome of a man written by a woman.
Feyre has always been a strong individual and is, no doubt, a very good and not so annoying character unlike many fmc's.
Cassian is amazing but I think I like Azriel's fire better. Both are overly protective and the Illyrian wings, come on.
Mor is just something, I don't know how to describe her but she's better than everyone else by a lot. I wish that she got her happiness with Az but that may not happen.
Edit: Thank you SJM, for creating the final 100 pages, I mean. I loved having a look at the Hybern situation again, learning more about both Lucien's and Cassians actions towards Elain and Nesta. And all around knowing that Lucien doesn't buy into Feyre's words at the end, it all speaks volumes.
Also with Mor and Az, I'm glad nothing happens between them. And I don't like her near as much as I did before, the best thing she ever did was disappear for most of SF
Edit #2: Ever since my first read through of the books, I've realised how much I hate Rhys and leads to my impartiality towards this book.
It's a 3.5 star read for me, and I've been wanting to change the rating for ages
I think about the pointlessness of this book sometimes. It kills me since I usually enjoy novellas.
2 stars
2nd read: I can always count on acotar for delivering new information from my eyes to my brain. There were so many nuances that I hadn't realised before now, so many parts that I hadn't seen the first time I read the full book.
1st read: 3rd time was certainly lucky, I never thought I'd say this but I somewhat liked a book that I shunned for so long.
Here's to say that Rhysand brought this book up to 4 stars. Tamlin was my least favourite character and Feyre was on the lower side of the annoying fmc scale. The first half of the book was a little on the painful side but, all in all, I enjoyed it.
