See allA childhood favourite.
I found this book in the library and all the themes were so interesting and riveting– I could not put the book down. The memories of reading the book will stay, and it will always be a 5/5.
I like the book a lot. But we were suddenly put into the story so abruptly. Often, when a character would be speaking, I had no idea who they were. The ending was spine-chilling, perfect for such a dark book.
The book is an extreme page turner. However, the genre and themes simply are not within my taste. Nonetheless, a good book; a great series that many readers remember from their childhood.
Certain parts were great but the book failed to keep me interested. I wish there was more development and information on Rufus. Despite it all, the ending perfect and abrupt– very fitting for the character's.
The book is so intriguing, emotional, angering, and heat warming. It's so well written, the pacing is well done and the quality of the writing keeps you reading. The character development is outstanding, however, the story building was very slow.
