Austen's book has excellent character development. The characters are well flushed out you love and hat them. You learn their motivations and understand them by the end. Like many books written in this time it does seem unnecessarily long.

I so loved this book. I love the plot the world building and the characters. I teared up a few times in this book. I think it is an excellent political fantasy.

I read this for banned book week. I can see why this is considered a modern classic and I can see why it is cited so much in our culture. Honestly I had bad dreams while reading this book.
I feel I would classify this as dystopian horror. I'm glad I read it but I really never want to read it again.

I found this story very dark and heart breaking. I was very well written I just didn't enjoy the plot or storyline.

This is so similar to other books by Thomas Hardy but it is lighter more silly. I struggled with Fancy's Character I found her so frustrating. I'm still not sure I'm satisfied with the ending.

An interesting book. I liked the motifs it used they were poetic and fun. I found the plot a bit meandering and I got lost several times. I didn't really bond with any of the characters apart from Kat.

Wow, this was such an atmospheric read. The writing is so descriptive I can imagine all the characters and the castle clearly.
The Character and the setting is just... weird. These people are all eccentric and somehow facinating.

Overall it reminds me of a Tim Burton Movie.

The world-building and setting of this story are very interesting. It follows several different points of view. I struggled to connect or care about the characters. It seemed like nothing much happened outside the world-world building.

I got totally sucked into this complex world where death has been defeated. I enjoyed the characters and found connections with them. This is a well done story that begs the question how do you value life...?

An uplifting, motivating book. It really brightened my day. I listened to it in an audiobook form on my way to work and loved it.

A Typical Eoin Colfer took. Fun with a lot of humor. There was never a dull moment in this book, but it is for a younger reader.

I need this book at this time. It helped guide me though a productive discussion with a coworker. I was able to address a sensitive issue and still remain friend.
