The PI are back, as the danger associated with each case they solved. But, in the end, all ends well...
A great plot with well designed caracthers, mystery, suspense... And love.
After reading the first book of the series I somewhat was looking for the story of another sister (the two left for the marriage market) instead I found Lady Evelyn (someone that was helped by Lady Rosalind Harrington and the Duke to be free of his cruel abusive/devil husband), and once more was helped by Rosalind to find a solution for her big problem - her aunt died and she needed to vacate the house and find a new way of living - but still afraid for her life, needed to be hiding... posing as Miss Bane, she seeks refuge as a governess in a Baron's household.
Baron James Ayles, haunted by the guilt that he was unable to save his wife, that died in a tragic accident by fire, locked away his heart, and lives only to his twins daughters and work needed to recover all the losses on the estate.
After being meek, submissive with her husband she discovers that she needs to express her feelings about what she thinks is right/better for the future of her pupils... and so it all began...
Slowly they start to see each other with another eyes and in the end after some troubles and miscommunication, they found a way to love...
When Lady Evelyn found love in the arms of her Baron she still had a problem, she didn't know if is formal first husband was still alive... after inquiring in London Baron James ask her to marry him and she was elated but... once more something bad happen... she was almost killed by fire, by a maid that she tought was her friend, and in that final moments she (the maid) confessed she was the one that kill the first wife of Baron James because she was the one that deserves to be married to the Baron.
Entrapped in her room Evelyn try to save herself but in the end she was helped by the Baron...
The emotional roller-coaster and the tension of secrets they both carry almost torn them apart but has adults they found the solution for their problems and the necessary healing of their souls.
And they live happily-ever-after as a family (we must not forget the adorable twins)...
I received a ARC copy, and for that I thank the author!
I start to read the book on the spot...
The book has a good plot with well thought caractheres...
A loving love story with adventure and where the main caractheres must fight to achieve their hearts desires... but in the end they are triumphant and lived their happy everlasting love!
I have had a great pleasure reading the book!
Thank you, Daphne Pierce!!!
I most thank the author for the opportunity to read this book.
I receive the audiobook link to Youtube and I immediately start listening/reading the book...
And I was hooked by the story, an excellent plot with strong characters, with ups and downs that guided the main characters to find themselves in love...
ALEXANDER -DUKE OF SOMERTON
Has a reputation of being a rogue... His young brother seems to be drinking in excess...
Confronted with the need to be married he remember that his late father was friends with a Lord that had three daughters, and so it all began!
LADY ROSALIND HARRINGTON (the oldest of the sisters) is informed that they will receive the visit of a Duke and that he will be coming to select a wife...
Her two younger sisters have their on reasons to be affraid to be the chosen one... So Rosalind approaches the Duke in the middle of the night and ask him to be the chosen one. He agreed with her and was already impressed with the young woman... but at this point they thougt that this marriage will be a marriage of convenience.
Too many secrets almost torn them apart but love and persistence have a way to correct things and in the end they found that their love was strong and they marry and be forever happy...
After reading this story I travel through to the second book of “The Harrington Sisters”...
I'd the opportunity to listen/read the book via Starfall Publications on Youtube.
I must congratulate the author for a good book and also express my thanks (for the “giveaway”).
I really enjoy the plot and the way the story evolve...
Well conceived caractheres and a beautiful love story...

I re-read this book and I've had yet more fun... The misconceptions and misunderstands due to a lack of english language communication from our female “warrior” are priceless...
A book with all the ingredients (secrets, family dramas, great characters, humour, etc...) to have a good time reading...
Once more I just can say that I love the book. The characters are sooo innocent and the humor is... the best.
An innocent wife and her parasol can destroy a ship...
You must read it!!!
An excellent book!!! Just love what innocence and a difficult in communication can do... humor in is best.
Once more Hannah Howell create a good paranormal fiction with lots of action, adventure, hot sex, love forever... damsels and bairns in distress, alpha males... and a great author anthology collaboration
A very interesting book where strong and determined characters, despite their weaknesses, interact and move in a historical time in which travels take an eternity, at a time when medicine was only a rudiment
Credible characters, subject to the greatest setbacks of life, interact throughout the unfolding of history and generate emotional moments where the characters experience their certainties or uncertainties, joys or sorrows, where ingenuity leads to moments of humor perfectly hilarious.
For all this, and precisely because of this, this is a book and a writer whose reading I recommend.
just love to read it...a good paranormal/supernatural, action/adventure, suspense sci-fi, historical chicklit book
I just love Julia Quinn writing... always fun with action, love and a good dose of mischievous...
A great... paranormal/supernatural, action/adventure, suspense sci-fi, historical chicklit book
For the lovers of the Drake Sisters series Sea haven/Sisters of the Heart series is the perfect choice of reading.
After reading the Kay Scarpetta series I was hopping for something more... And I most apologize but I'm not convinced that Walter Sickert was Jack the Ripper... some of the must famous painters, writers or creativity people thinkers are indeed very troubled... and even diagnosed with heavy mental problems... they even can have the thought to kill someone and expressed it... but that doesn't qualify that they are really murderers/killers.
The scientific evidences are just that evidences and in some proofed cases they were also wrong.
As expressed by the author in the very beginning she wasn't convinced about the book, she was depressed... and that is expressed through out all along, even when she convinced herself (after all the scientific evidences accumulate that proof that Sickert was the culprit) that she was in the right to accomplish the task.
A beautiful love story from a historical time... Full of action, suspense, adventure, strong characters that have the courage to pursue and overcome all obstacles in life and in the end find their happy ever after!
A really good book with strong characters... two brothers that have a soul-bond with the same woman but their behaviour is radically different (one is “good” -Aidan Butler- and really loves the lady-Kristen Ross-/the other is the “bad” brother-Micah Campbell-...) but both are influenced by a past of hatred and a “curse” that enforce their behaviour.
A very beautiful shy but strong woman...
And a mother that sacrifice her life dying for the love of her sons and, by the magic of the blood, cut the bond with the “bad” brother and through that sacrifice bless them all with a greater future were true love is possible and of course, promptly embraced by the good guy...
Waiting to hear from the bad guy soon... because even bad people could have some good qualities...
In this latest book in the Circle Trilogy series, action and adventure reaches their peak.
It's the completion of a phase and the beginning of a new love story that goes against all odds ... A vampire who develops a new level of relationship and commitment with the mortals - defending a worthy cause - and that falls in love with a mortal, a queen!
The gods who have established an alliance with mortals to defeat once and for all the evil forces ... but still persisted in speaking with riddles...
In the end, the evil forces are defeated by the heroes (a witch, a wizard, a warrior, a shifter and a golden-hearted vampire) and of course their army some military but most of all women and farmers...
In the end the allied vampire is rewarded with the choice of being immortal (with the blessing of the gods) or being mortal ... and of course he will follow his heart... A beautiful, beautiful, love story !!!
I really loved to read the previous books of these series but the some “scenes” are almost the same from book to book... please be more creative...
I just love this series... The characters, the plot, the evolution of the story is simply amazing... Can't wait to read the next book to see what happens to Carly...
Always a pleasure reading the Argeneau series books... A great plot, strong characters and of course a beautiful love story!
