This book of the new series (that I think will be focused in the sons and daughters of the couples of the Brides of Kindreds) is a good option of easy reading, of a romance, paranormal, chicklit in this time of “pandemic” social privation.

An Historical, Time Travel Romance ease reading.
Characters that experience life experimenting various options of courses and reaching their goals. Finding, in the end, love... surrounded by family and friends.
A princess cursed... that learn a lesson: to “let go” and not be selfish... forced to growing up, as an adult person should be, and falling in love with her “saviour”.
I just love to read the Historical Regency Romance of Victoria Alexander and sure “The Perfect Wife” was not an exception... lots of action, secrets revealed, difficulties to overcome. humour... and a happy end with an incondicional love...
Once again Juliet Marillier is to be congratulated.

A beautiful forevermore love story with the right ingredients... “impossible” obstacles to overcome by a “strong” character lady but in distress and an irrestible alpha heroe that will help without being asked. A story full of action, with spies and good friends that will help our lady and his gorgeous man.
So, yes... I enjoy reading this good and elaborated plot of action and love. And, of course I recommend it to all the present and future fans of Grace Burrowes and her historical regency ChicLit...

I only can say that I once more was surprised with the lengths and deeps of Jennifer Estep in creating credible imaginary worlds, plots of mystery and revenge, strong characters with all the emotions that we all experience one way or another.
Crown of Shards is undoubtedly an excellent series that I recommend for all readers that love the paranormal/supernatural/magic/warriors/action/adventure/love romance - juvenile/YA
