See allHabe ich heute eventuell bis 5 Uhr morgens gelesen? Ja
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars
Honestly, I didn't expect much because the plot sounded just like a fun queer read but nothing more.
I guess I was wrong lol
I fell in love with astrid and how she explored her identity, I was surprised by some plottwists (in a romcom??), and I enjoyed the general setting in bright falls.
Also, it well pretty true to tone when it comes to queer sex which was surprising.
The only thing hindering me from giving 5 stars was the immense display of queer folk. Generally, I love how many different sexuality and gender identities were present in this book (literally all of her friends, her sister, the filming crew, even the baker staff). All that was a bit over the top for me tbh.
But still a great read with lovable characters and a feel-good atmosphere :)
Whenever I read a Wheel of Time book, I think: wow, this is the best book so far!
It is no different with the fourth part. I feel like Robert Jordan wanted to create this elaborate fantasy world with deep characters and an intriguing magic and political system. And so far, he is doing a good job.
However, I feel like I have to have read all the books to be able to give a real rating for each single one as it all feels so connected and like one huge story. Concludingly, I would say the books are for people who are ready to commit to reading the whole series, but I don't think it is possible to read them as standalone books.
Up until the last 80 or so pages of the book, this could have been a 4 star read!
It was so much better than lost symbol and I was getting my hopes up.
The ending though felt like Dan Brown is a transhumanist himself and he was trying to push some propaganda on the readers.
So weird and utopian
