Nothing less than how we draw meaning from the world is the subject of this one. Reminded me of the alt lit I loved in college, but with more heart.

Holy hell, this was perfect.

Educational, funny, and engaging, much like The Quick Guide to They/Them Pronouns!

Kind of meh Alien knock off with some body horror. Super British, which was fun. Not a bad distraction.

I did far too much theatre in high school so it's hard for me to be objective. This one left me choked up.

Gorgeous memoir in verse

Absolutely phenomenal folk horror in disguise. Runs by its own logic set that reveals itself to be wild and creepy in ways unexpected. Great protagonist who we know inside and out by the books conclusion. Deserves to be brought back into print, time to seek out as much Campbell as I can find.

Horror fiction is incredible.

It was nice to go back to the island again, even if Bruce is a slightly less compelling or like able protagonist than Mercer was. Some parts worked, some didn't, I'd read the next one because I like the Camino “world” quite a bit.

Lovely story of queer high schoolers comic of age. This One Summer was perfect and so was this.

Despite the fact that this is the first in the series, it's the fourth or fifth one I've read. I adore these books, they go down like a hot toddy at the end of a long day. This one was no different, I'm ready to read more as always.

Warm and fuzzy character drama about love, parenting, and art in Brooklyn. Really, really hit the spot, I left this novel wanting to spend more time in its world.

Cw: self harm
Pretty good thriller with a great setting. Solid rainy day read.

Complex QT young people in America living their lives. So, so empathetic and moving.

Gator country noir with reanimated corpses. Battling landowners, buckets of blood, and breakneck pacing. Perfection.

Made me feel the way I did when I read Mrs Dalloway or The World According to Garp for the first time. This is the real thing.

Absolutely impeccable bit of 70s horror. I wish it was easier to find because this belongs towards the top of the pile.

Somewhat overly convoluted murder mystery/ghost story elevated by a strong sense of place and powerful threads of anger and affection running through it.

A ripping action adventure yarn, set directly after The Best of Both Worlds. Unputdownable, I'd recommend it to any fan of the franchise.

I loved this book so, so much, until I reached the ending which has PROBLEMS.

Warm, rambling semi-thriller of rare book thieves and writers drinking wine on an island. I got so much enjoyment from this book, not the least because I would love to have the life it's characters do. So, so ready to read the sequel and spend more time in this world.

Survival sci fi with some good twists. Definitely helped the hours pass.
