Compulsively readable, and I am ashamed of how ignorant I was of what was going on down there. Important to read, to understand our country and the damage done by the sound and fury of our media. We need more quiet voices telling the whole truth.

It is a compelling story, but such an unjust one that I found it difficult to read.

Really enjoyed this book, but it left me wanting more.

Oh, oh, so good and so heartbreaking and so courage-inspiring. Dave Eggers is so good at cutting right to the heart of a situation... one of the reviews on the back said something like, this book is humane in the best, least-boring sense of the word. And I think that is true.
